My car spun a bearing where the balancer shaft goes in. How do I take the bearings out? Do I have to have a shop put them back in or can I?

Fixed. :thumb:

Anywho, if you're not mechanically inclined, I would have a shop do it.

i did mine myself, but when i spun mine i had to replace the oil pump/front case as well.

What i did when i spun my rear one, was i installed the bse kit for the oil pump, and left the front shaft in place just with no balance shaft belt (helped with keeping oil pressure lower). Just be sure when you take the oil pump off and you put it back on, you repack the oil pump gears with some kind of oil (i used assembly lube) otherwise it probably wont last long.

It will involve BSE kit, Dropping oil pan/transfer case/downpipe + moving driver side axle out of the way. cleaning the oil pan and looking for the bearing (mine was wedged up next to cyl 3, the crank shot it up there), putting the new/old pump back on and packing it with grease, then putting the motor back in time. it took me a few hours to do with the motor in the car, but if i did it again i would pull the motor + tranny and do it outside the car. little more work but waaayy easier.

ok thats what i did wrong cause i just rebuilt the motor and put it in and 3rd day this hapened so i need to repack the oil pump gears. i have a nother balancer shaft and planed on geting new bearings too but do i have to buy a bse kit?

99 percent of the time is the bearing spun the block will be damaged and the new bearing won't sit in it's bore properly and it will happen again. If it is the rear than just get a bse stubby and put in the pump. IF it is the front than you will need to tap the oil hole and thread a plug into it.

IF the bearing spins in side it's bore than the hole will be worn bigger. The bearing is an interference fit meaning that it is slightly bigger than the hole that it is going in. If the hole is bigger than there is nothing to hold the bearing in place.
