Ok so I had a used rebuilt tranny w\lsd put in my car with act clutch. An I noticed a noise when I revv up sounds like a grinding noise. An when I drive when I'm in 3rd at like high rpms and I let go of gas n bearly press in gas u hear a grinding noise but gears already inguaged. Sounds like a griding u get when u try to shift n don't press clutch all the way in sept not as loud but when i press gas in harder sound goes away. guy told me axle n.hub are real bad thats it, i jack up n tire does shake. but what is makin noise??

It is one of 2 things.

Either the rebuild was shabby or, your wheel bearings are about gone.

the shop who put my tranny in for me, plus i jacked up car n shook wheel n its loose.. also in 1st gear when accerratting car makes like a vaccum noise only in first tho goes away after... so just sitn n revving up car n then it makes noise can be wheel bearing?? even if cars not movin

How many DIFFERENT noises are we talking here. When moving, it would seem to be a wheel bearing but, if you are still, it could be clutch chatter but, I am not there to hear it. It could be the input shaft is worn but, they should have checked that when they put the trans in.

Check your crank pulley and see if it is trying to separate.

Revving the car at a standstill would not be wheel bearing noise but, if you have more than one 'unusual' noise, it could be a few things.

IF your wheel shakes when up on stands, make sure your axle nut is not loose at all. It will have a cotter pin in it. Take the wheel off and check the nut to see if it is loose. If it is, that can be an issue for a potential noise while rolling. Tighten up the nut (big nut by the way....not sure the size but someone will chime in and tell you the exact size, I hope) if the wheel play is gone, that was it. IF it is not, you have a bad wheel bearing anyway. Fix it.

Grab the wheel and shake top to bottom and side to side like you would a turbo wheel. You could have a bad tie-rod as well causing the wheel to not stay straight and whobble slightly. Do you have much tire wear....like in cupping or inside or outside?

Ok same noise is made when revving in neutral as when I am driving. Makes a grinding sort of noise. The only other noise is when I am in 1st and I get 3k it sounds like a vacuum noise on same side as grinding noise came from

no tires are brand new, u got a email i can send u.video of noise

Did you check your balancer/crank pulley? Also, the vacuum could be that you have a lose turbo to manifold bolt. Check them to see if they are loose. It will be lagging a little more than usual if that is the case.

Ok first can we use full words and proper sentences I think I lost brain cells reading that. First thing I recommend is having a friend rev the car and listen. figure out exactly where the noise is coming from. For example if it's coming from the cv axle, from inside the transmission or from the pulleys. Also do a visual inspection. For example is the cv axle boot torn at all or does the axle shake like its loose.

If you can get a video up we should be able to help more just post the link to it. Otherwise figuring out where the noise and what's wrong will be up to you and we can help with what needs to be done. Because right now were just taking shots in the dark on what it could be.

I already adjusted it

Have you checked your timing cover yet to see if your balancer has separated and is banging on it. I will eat right through it if you do not get to it soon. It is easy to check by taking the timing cover off.

Before you keep running the car and tear anything up, check that. Replace the wheel bearing as well. When you do these 2 things, we can move on to any other noises that it may be making that are not normal but, you still have not checked the timing cover and that was a couple days ago. There is no point in posting anything other than noises that go away as you fix the source. The rubbing noise is probably the balancer or the clutch depending on what type you have. Some just make noise or could be the throw-out-bearing.
