Ok so im about to get a Mitsubishi big 16g what all do i need im only getting the turbo also I wanna run a external waste gate so what all do i need to run a 16g with a external waste gate?

Reason im getting big injectors is because im planing on going E85 and reason why i dont go bigger turbo is because ima be running all this on stock motor and stock trans :ohdamn:
Stock engines and transmissions have made some serious power. STM currently has a 2G with the full stock block and head running 10's...the head and pan have never been off the engine. Another buddy of mine dynoed 457whp with a PTE SC6031E using a stock 2G trans with 221k on it. It wasn't until he started drag racing the car that he faced transmission problems.

Good to know im only aming at 350whp then later on ill try to get a fp red and try to get 500whp

aha, well thats good to know... you should get a stock supra smic, keep it sleeper looking :)

haaha yea i was thinking of doing that too but im getting a greddy fmic for real cheap im going to have stock exaust so ima say im bone stock but the fmic:thumb:

ok so i am in the middle of installing my ported 16g with a tial 38mm external wastegate on my 96 talon tsi. i am running 12lbs (basically stock). i have less than 3k on engine clutch and trans. basically everything is new. i am also installing my punishment racing manifold, o2 housing (open dump), 16g install kit from extremepsi and running it to my ets fmic. i have a few questions which i cant find answers to such as i have the flapper off the turbo. i noticed there is a hole left. i used a bolt with a washer and locking nut. then put high temp gasket seal around both ends. will this hold my boost without ejecting the bolt and causing unknownly harm to my car? what are other simple fixes to this hole? also, the manifold studs that i have are too big so i used the bolts connecting the stock o2 and t-25 which fit perfect and tight. is this ok to use? also what would happen if i dont put oil through the oil lines and spin the compressor wheel before starting? the sooner i get feedback the sooner i can finish this project up

yeah that is what i am saying, but i have no access to a welder for a long time. i am trying to find a safe alternative way.running stock fuel system and boost. my tial 38mm spring is 12lbs. should i be running more or as much as the spring rate? lets say i leave it on and started the car and hit boost. the bolt came apart. would i spike boost to a harmful level? trying to come up with a quick, under $20 solution.

Emmm! You wouldn't want a bolt in the turbo LOL. 20 bucks can turn into 1000 real quick if shit goes wrong.
I'm running my evo 16g at 15psi no problems. But ever car is different.
I'm sure there is a person or shop in every state, every city, every town in the U.S.

You be able to hold the WG flap closed from the outside.
Use a wire to tie it in place... If the wire breaks you only lose boost.

your SUPPOSE to, but being an innovater that i am, i decided to bolt the flapper shut. i used grade 8 bolt and nut. i have a washer on the inside of the flapper port and a lock washer on either side of the flapper (standard washer is contacting the flapper port). i torqued the flick out of it, finished my installment and almost 5 months later, no problems!! runs great! no leaks, bolt holds great with periodical tests! i run 18psi and the 38mm tial ws screams! so you can efficiently bolt the internal wastegate flapper shut with only spending about $7.00 :)
