well so far i've bought
my 92 laser base 1.8l 5spd - technically free from my mom but paid $300 to get it road worthy, sold for $850 over a year later, but i had put more then that into it for maintenance.
my 92 talon awd 5spd that was mint with bolt ons for $4500, sold for $4800 but I had decent money into it
my 92 laser rs-t awd that was overall decent I paid $4700 for and with just maintenance and a re-tune ran 11.7@123mph, then I put a bunch more money into it to run 10's and lost interest sold for $5400.
my 91 talon awd 5spd stock for $2300 - just a rusty DD, put about $300-500 of maintenance into it sold it for $2500
93 eclipse 1.8l 5spd for a DD for $700, sold for $1200, basically broke even with what i put into it.

now it isnt a dsm but i have a 92 civic I picked up for essentially $800-$1000 but also about $2000 in parts for it now.

I paid $8900 four years ago. Six months after I bought it, clutch and transmision went out on me. Everything is all fixed now. The car runs great. I plan on keeping my car. I will get a new paint job this summer.
