My ears were burning.
I sold the car some time ago but it's still roaming the streets of Phoenix according to reported sightings.

Here are few vids that show other lighting mods I completed.

My most famous mod.
98 Eclipse Sequential LED Tail Lights - YouTube

My final headlight mod with LED DRLs, projector LED turn signals and switchback side markers.
98 Eclipse LED Front Signals - YouTube

This vid also shows some front/rear lighting mods.
98 Mitsubishi Eclipse Walk-around Demo - YouTube

This vid shows my step-boosted E55 bi-xenon HIDs, HID fogs.
98 Eclipse Head Light Beam Shots - YouTube

These DRL LEDs were set up to dim down at night as they were too bright after dark.

and you SOLD IT? Wish I had the skills..great job azdave

Thanks. Yup. Had 17 of them in 7 years. Got bored and sold them all but recently bought a 97 TSI AWD and a 90 Laser Turbo just to flip for cash to finance my current obsession.
1966 Corvair Corsa Coupe 455 Big Block Olds - YouTube

If you are looking to pull off a headlight or tail light mod HIDplanet is a great resource for a project like that.

Can you just splice the LED wiring into the stock brake light wiring? Cause I'd really be interested in doing this to my tails.

You can. That's how I used to do it, but its really the wrong way to set it up. I'm finishing up an electronics class for my ASE certification so that's why I say this.

Both ends are super cool! I just happen to have spares front and back so am going to tinker around and see if I can get a similar look, well eventually any way.

I'm not as much of a fan of the tail lights during the day. I think they would look better blacked out. Man do they look good at night though. Impressive work.

How are you doing it the next time around?
With actual LEDs? I'm starting to design my PCBs for my LED conversion.

Yep, next time they'll have actual LEDs and not the LED strips. I hated using those because I couldn't get the right angles for the lights, but I went that way since it was cheaper, and to get the basic concept planned out. Now I'm building up to the real set-up which will be powered by its own relay system and all that happy electrical hardware. I finally after months of searching, got a complete 2g talon tail light harness with all connectors to the fuse block so I can have my next set of lights illuminate the way I want them to. Once I decide which LEDs to use in my build, its game on.

So for all you interested still, I've started back up with my LED mods. I finally have a decent amount of time to futher my work on them. So today I found my center section and have removed nearly all the inside paint that keeps it from being translusent. I have the center section from a 2G Talon that I'll be working on as well. More pics soon.... :dsm:

You should post some pics of your lights for us all.

Here's a red version I've been working on:

Are you building/selling headlight/tail light setups? I'm impressed by your work and would be willing to buy a setup.
