about 3 hours both up and down..

I live in Oklahoma, so of course i look in my own state.. I also look in Texas around the Dallas area and thats a 3+ hour drive.. I go to dallas all the time to go to meets and what not..

I search in Kansas, the Wichita area, ive been there a couple times.. and thats a 3+ hour drive..

So i am looking beyond my own state.. There are a lot of gst's but they're all run down and neglected it seems like. Havent found a decent one

only found a couple gsx's but given the fact they were up to par with everything, like highly maintained, and a lot of aftermarket motor work, they were wayy outta my price range

Found mine in Norman, guy put the wrong year down. He thought it was a 94. Usually see em cheap when they need engine work. Good place to watch is Amarillo, I've seen 2-3 gst's under 2k there the past few weeks

A clean car and cars with jdm styling are two totally different machines. Clean cars are free of any odd bodylines, wheels that are lightweight, low enough to give a sleek look, but not so low you cant get places. Jdm cars are filled with parts shipped straight from japan. We DSMers usually dont buy parts straight from japan unless its from an evo (These cars werent offered in japan, they got the FTO) the front plare can be moved as it (in the normal location) would reduce airflow to a front mount intercooler

I know you said you don't like the 1g, but you could always stash aside like 2 large and buy a 1g and still keep your lude. That ways when (not if) you break something you have a backup dd. Any platform has strengths and weakness, and when you start modding your going to start replacing worn out parts with better stronger ones.

I'm a die hard 1g fan, had my 93 since 95. The 2g's are sexy no doubt, but there is something timeless about the 1g. If that body style came out again next year, the would still sell.

Definitely would go check it out! Make sure he has receipts and proof of everything he is trying to say he has, that is a major plus! But man, you have to love the look of a 2gb talon! (1995-1996 talons=2Ga///// 97-98=2Gb):thumb:

i know the "official" meaning of JDM, but we dont specify jdm as the official meaning in some cases. When i say jdm "styling" that doesnt mean im going to get parts from japan LOL

but thanks for information on the evo and the history of the eclipse.. didnt know you guys cant buy things from japan if its for an eclipse. So basically the eclipse is a domestic car instead of an import haha

i kept seeing 2ga and 2gb and had no clue what ppl were talking about LOL.. thanks man.. but im learning everyday about eclipses.. i read the vfaq, and go through these forums learning loads of stuff.. keeps me from making a noob question thread LOL

im going to check it out when he's back from vacation.. sucks to wait :|

I just skimmed through most of the posts but IMHO I would hold out for an AWD. I had a 98 RS that was obviously fwd and while it was a non turbo, FWD is FWD. I drove that for a while, and ended up driving a friends 300ish whp GST. It was crazy how much different it was, and by that I mean wheel spin. It would light up the tires with ease.

I ended up buying a stock 97 GSX when I was in Arizona for school, and OMG I fell in love with AWD. Nothing, and I mean NOTHING is more fun than AWD launches and the G forces you feel as you get thrown in the seat. I don't think I could ever go back to FWD.

Thats what im sayin!.. When i rode in my friends evo, i loved the feel it had when it took off...

but ok ok.. all ya'll persuaded me, ill hold off for an AWD...

Do you mind me asking how much you paid for your GSX

Very hard to find here, and if you haven't noticed people like to sell em out from under buyers :/ Good condition here go for 6+ but you may pick one up needing work pretty cheap!

Man i know.. every time i see a gsx, it does go for about 6+... Rory, idk what ima do! haha.. i keep lookin on CL even tho im 22 hours away :p
