Still having injector issues. I've tried a different MPI relay, I've measured voltage on everything as well as tested the injectors. I get fuel pressure in the system, and I've applied 9v to the injectors and they spray fuel. I pulled the CAS out and spun it and I don't think I heard the injectors click (1,2,3,4) I'm going to try another CAS and then if that does nothing I'm going to try another ECU.

Damn, I was wanting to get this thing retuned and hit the track this friday.

Injectors were clogged and one was stuck. I'm going to be sending them to FIC to get cleaned and tested. Also found out that my sparktech COP was wired wrong from sparktech.

two wires (1black & 1Grey) were crossed from sparktech.

The directions said that that the grey wire went to pin 54 (coils1&4) and that the black wire went to pin 55 (coils 3&2).

The CAS is/was not 180 degrees out just incase anyone is wondering if maybe that is why. I pulled it and checked.

Small update.

I'll be sending the injectors out this week to FIC.

Ordered some avid motor mounts and a CNC staging brake.

Pics after getting the talon home and an engine shot

Looking damn good! I am curious as to why your going with a staging brake with a auto though?

Well my E-brake assembly is messed up (rear passenger locking up) so I'm removing it. I debated on doing a vacuum pump but for now I'm sure the staging brake will be fine. Just need to figure out how to run it. Rears, fronts, driver front/passenger rear, or passenger front/driver rear.

It would be awesome if i could use it for all 4.

I cant wait to see some time slips and some dyno numbers!!

Kenny you ALMOST have a twin!! :p Minus the black mirrors!

Me too! Hopefully I can get the injectors back in a week and returned the car on the nitrous then hit the track. As far as dyno numbers go, there are no awd Dyno's around where I live anymore.

I hate how clean your car is..

For some reason it looks good in pictures. I don't try to doctor then up I take them with my phone. Its no where near perfect in person like the majority or almost twenty year old cars.

But thanks for the compliment.:thumb:

Avid motor mounts came in the other day.

Here is a time slip from the 1/8 mile track. I made 4 passes, three 7.1's and this 7.0
eighthmiletimeslip.jpg

This was on street tires, VP Q16, 28psi, and no nitrous.

I have since did several mods plus removed some weight. I can't wait to get my 1650's back from FIC so I can retune the car on the nitrous and take it back to the track on the slicks. Then its off the the 1/4th mile to make some passes.

CNC staging brake came in today

Got my injectors back from FIC. I mailed them off Monday and got them back Saturday!

To anyone that buys used top feed injectors I highly recommend sending them off to get clean and flow tested. For $20 an injector and $10 shipping you can't beat it. Plus they repainted them and supplied all new O-rings and seals.

Good, quick updates! Moving along!

Did you get the staging brake from CNC themselves, STM since they stock them now, or some other place?

I got it from STM. But here is some advice, checkout the price on CNC's website and others, then call STM and talk. That's what I did.

Ahhhh, I just wasn't sure. I thought when you ordered the staging brake, you get all the lines/hardware also? Did I think wrong? I know you can route them how you want, but figured it was a full assembly.

unfortunately no. What you see in the pic is what you get.

I'm trying to figure out now where to get custom length steel braided brake line so I can plumb it. I got some steel from work (I work at SSAB Steel Mill) to make a mounting bracket coming off the trans tunnel close to where the E-brake was.

I've noticed some just do the -3an Earl SS lines and call it a day with no problems. Probably the same way I will do it.

I made the plate, its just plexiglass/lexan. I spray painted one side and placed the shift pattern sticker that came with the shifter on it.

I don't have any more pics of the install, but it wasn't that difficult. You'll just need some long bolts, nuts, washers, stand-off's, and a small level.

Thanks for the info and please keep us updated on your build I'm starting my 92 awd auto project in a few months ill be checking often for ideas LOL

Pic my Buddy Sam Cochrin took going to a local car meet this past Saturday.

It seems you keep having problems with Sparktech's ignition.. Would you still recommend it yourself?

So clean.. Jealous of the Kosei's still.

Nice 2g as well, dsmtwins2g
