I need information about the part number for the bracket/holder for OEM floor mats!!! My dealer can't find the part number for me, and I need it for my mats! It would be appreciated if anyone can help me...

Car is 1999 GST ECLIPSE

MB828847 - HOOKFR FLOOR CARPET (thanks to @19Eclipse90)

This is the floor mat hook part of a two piece clip system found on the earlier 2g's (pre-1998). It has a receptacle that is in the carpet that this snaps into. This part is not found Mitsubishi's parts program, but the part number should work if you try to order from a Mitsubishi dealer/parts website. If not, try a Chrysler shop.

MR480241 - FR FLOOR CARPET HOOK

This is a one piece floor mat clip that goes through a hole in the carpet and the hook portion goes through the grommet in the floor mat. This style is typically found on 1998+ vehicles.

Google says it looks like that for mr480241, but it's not what I want. Picture is good or not?

Okay, just got the part and its like the one i posted. It's not this one that I need. I can't find any pictures of it, but i know that it was on my instruction sheet which came with my oem floor mats... Unfortunatly, it went into the garbage :(. Can anyone help me??

I need one of these as well. How would that even work? I always thought it was something that just pushed down into the hole and had a hook on the top.

Luckily for you, mine just happens to be out right now. The one in the pic looks identical to mine ('99 GST). So I'd say that MR480241 is the correct one.

Here's mine.

Romeen, it appears that his carpet uses the earlier style clip.

If he had the later style clip, like you and I do, as you know it attaches to the carpet as shown (without the hard plastic piece built into the carpet).

Ah, I saw that he had a '99 and assumed.....

Reread his post and I got that same one (earlier version?) included in the package when I bought my mats too.

If anyone's curious.

Did you have to grind your original clip down to fit, too? On my new floor mats, the ring was too small for the original clip to fit through. I only ask because it appears you did :)

Alright, I ordered the older style bracket and I post update when I install it.

Thanks a lot for the help everyone! Parts clerk in canada doesn't know shit about DSM.

Here is my Black OEM Carpet! I tho it was only grey/tan?

Well, it sounds like it might only come with the floor mats then...possibly?

Here is the screenshot so you can see what I'm seeing. I don't see it shown there. Sorry I had you order two incorrect parts :(

They changed the look/feel of the OEM floor mats, which are now black. I don't think it's possible to get gray mats.

No, It will still be the wrong part if I order the complete Mat. The clip must be an Accessory which only comes with the Floor Mats or is listed only in Accessories. Therefore, it may be discontinued or the dealer has to contact Mitsubishi USA/CANADA to get a part number.

Anyone who has the clip I'm looking for. I will gladly buy it.

Smooxie, Brian and I have a couple of these at home. They came with our new floor mats, and I didn't use it because I have the late '99 style clip. I'll do my best to find one for you this weekend.

Eric, he told me via PM that he was able to find the correct one from a US dealership. He should be receiving it in 2 days. I hope it's the right one. :)

Well, I did find one at home. Remind me on Saturday and I'll get it shipped to you. PM me your address.
