The title says it all. I installed the 2gb high rise wing after removing the 3 piece one from my 1998 eclipse. I searched everywhere for the specs on where to install it as close to possible to oem. After all my work and covering up the million holes from the previous spoiler it doesn't look right. I'd post a pic but don't know how to. My question is: does anyone have those specs by any chance?

My concern was I placed the spoiler too far forward. I went off a screen capture from a youtube video to be honest. Lined up right so its not crooked or anything. What do you guys think?

Lol I've lined it up a million times, compared pics and realized it can't be more than a half inch off. Anyone have the actual measurements?

I'm in a generous mood today.

Looking straight down on passenger side.

Driver side is obviously the same but here's a pic anyway.

As long as you drilled your holes in the spots where i have grey primer then you are correct.

The best way to do it is drill the front holes first and mount that, then drill the back according so. The front can only be drilled in a hole big enough to fit the bolt. But yours looks ok

If you really are looking for a rough "get them plugged" kinda ordeal, go out and get the christmas tree interior plugs that will fit into the hole, paint them to match, and slap some silicon window sealant under the base. BAM! You're waterproof again.

I know it works because I did this on my Cavalier back when I was 17. They were sealed shut until the day I sold it 5 years later

Jeez welding a bit extreme, looking for something more DYI at home LOL, im interested in those rubber plugs, have any more info on them? And @ Purple Demon, for a 2G low profile

Thats what it looks like. Mind you these are unpainted and have faded because of UV. You can even contour them to gentle curves if you're patient enough with the silicon.

I believe the OP's car had no spoiler factory.

But the best way would be to weld the holes shut.

Though you could use body filler.

yeah the top part of the spoiler lines up with the edge of the trunk.. looks good.

im glad i came across this. im interested in swapping the 3 piece spoiler for the high rise. only problems is the only oem high rise spoiler for sale is white and my car is black, and second i dont have any experience with welding so i wouldnt know what to do with covering holes.

but def a project i plan on doing soon.

Paint it yourself. Its really not that hard to do.

looks good to me... makes me nervous cause im fixing to do the tsi high rise wing on mine. id say go measure from sides of trunk to base of spoiler mark off and the measure from back of car trunk to back of spoiler. I hate doing stuff free handed myself
