Ok guys i need yals opinion iv been getting mixed comments on on my 93 eagle talon DL 1.8 liter NON turbo. Some have been good comments and some are people saying it to ricer and i dont want that. some of the mods are, a full straight 2.25 exaust with a glass pack at the end for my loudness LOL. A VENOM 400 control modual , and new breaks and suspintion (spelling)
But here are some pics ### let me know what you think and if you have any ideas on other mods.

That actually does not look too bad for a 1.8 liter car. Decent paint. I would personally either ditch the fog lights or move them to the factory openings where the fog lights went. Hell, I have a set of stockers with the brackets chilling in my garage that need new bulbs. PM me if you want them.

Another thing. The only white lettering that belongs on a DSM is either "Hoosier", M/T, or M&H. Beyond that keep the sidewalls pure black IMHO. Enjoy the gas mileage that thing will get, but I wouldn't get too excited about it being fast.

I don't see anything wrong with it. It a clean looking 1g, but you really should do the car the way you like it. Who cares what some people think. If someone says they don't like it tell them not to look at it. :)

thanks for the replies, i got the 1.8 cause a lot of people dont have it everyone has a 2.0 as far as the dragster look im glad and i just wanted it to be clean:D:hellyeah:

yea i will get with u for the foglights and as tires goes im getting a new set, just havent decided on what to get. i need a set that has aggresive turning traction any ideas let me no and if you can shoot me a link. no as far as you say its not that fast i beg to differ:D me little 1.8 has been smoken some 2.0 turbos. here soon im going to go take it and have it dyno:hellyeah:

i agree totally with that but i just hate it when people start calling my car a ricer makes me get pissed  i hate a ricer with the big fart cannons on them LOL

Ignore the rice comments dude. It's your car, make it how you like it. I got called a ricer once by a V6 stang guy with 5.0 badges. That's a stupid stereotype. I would call them poorly modified cars. Ricer is more like a state of mind, reflecting ignorance usually... or possibly jealousy.

Dude thats soooo ricer!! jk LOL
No that looks well......in all honesty damn good, I like the color of the rims to the white just sets it off nicely, another thing I haven't really seen is how you painted the middle taillight piece it just finish's the look in my opinion.
the 1.8ltr's may be slow but no one can see how good your car looks when your going fast anyways.:sneaky:

And the fact that you wanted a car not many dsm'ers opt for/have I :applause: you! In another 30 years what model will be the hardest to find?....the 1.8's or course!:hellyeah:

I don't *like* the tail lights but that doesn't mean its rice. The rest looks pretty good. Hell I have the biggest wing I've ever seen on a 1g and I think it looks great.

I'm aware it isn't keeping my rear wheels planted on my FWD. As long as you're happy with it rock it!

That's a fresh looking 1gb. I'd prefer some bigger rims, but that's just me. Other than that the car looks clean and simple, not "ricey" at all.

i dont think it looks ricer at all. If it had a huge wing and a body kit yeah LOL i think it looks good

I think it looks good, but in the end it is whether or not you like the way the car looks I mean you are the one driving it :D

LMFAO wow i cant believe i just seen this bahahaha.... Now its safe to call u a ricer. car looks good but that comment totally changed the perspective. the 1.8l is a gas saver and thats all. That thing couldnt beat a 2.0 turbo if its lil life depended on it.... Taking that to the dyno is like using a flashlight in broad daylight, its a waste of time and only going to disappoint u and who ever is watching.... That is all:notgood:

+1 I laughed when I saw that comment. I haven't driven a 1.8 but took a few 420a's for a ride when I was looking for my car. Some were even "built". When I jumped in that gst and hit boost, even stock was like holy shit. Huge, huge difference. I highly doubt that little 1.8 would stand a chance.

No, i highly doubt you've been "smoken some 2.0 turbos"
And the only thing you'll get from the dyno is a frown when some kid in a civic before you made more power out of his 1.6L.

Enjoy your gas mileage and leave the power making to the 4Gxx. Save up some cash and do a cool project like a 4G63 mini truck.
Pretty clean for a 1.8NT though:thumb:

l

were the 2.0 Turbo's at a stand still in a parking lot when you raced them? my DSM couple years ago when it only had intake and exhuast kept neck to neck with my buddys fast back mustang which easly had 60 horse on me. With that said i find it highly hard to believe a 1.8 n/t can "smoke" a 2.0 Turbo and lets define "smoked" if you smoked someone in a race, you didnt just beat them, you beat them with many car lengths between each car.

I like it, but the smoked turn signals aren't working for me. Maybe if you smoked the headlights it would look better, but then night visibility would be an issue.
But its your car.

No such definition exists for "Smoked". Winning is winning! LOL

I like the look, its not ricer, its like a blend of nascar and dragster....Just alotttttttttttt slowwwwwwwwwwwwwwwerrrrr...You need to edit your posts to say "My car burns so much oil, I blow smoke all over a 2.0 turbo"...Otherwise enjoy your car man looks good..

WTF

You're smoking something, but it's not a 2.0 turbo....... I had a 1.8 and it was SLOW.

:applause:

:aha:
A reason people choose the 4G63T is because it is one of the best made 4cyl motor to date. Gettin any other motor just means your trying to save gas or trying to be different (by different i mean slow as shit and primary grocery getter  ).

To be fast and race real cars you need the
4G63T:hellyeah:
