Since I first got into DSMs I knew I wanted to build something that looked good and went fast...something the majority of DSM owners kind of overlook. No offense to those people as having a fast car is nice, but there are some that are different and have both as well.

The motto of most people that have a heavily lowered car is "low and slow."...my motto is a little different. To be honest, I don't have a motto, but it isn't low and slow. Probably something more along the lines of "it's low, but no, it is not slow." Not very catchy but who gives a s**t. I know being so low doesn't really help with handling but it is a partial DD anyhow so it doesn't hit the curves too much (although when the tubular subframes get finished (ahem 99gstracer :p) I may be correcting the suspension geometry :thumb:).

Enough of the talk, here are the times and for reference, the car.

Mods are in my profile, boost is set at 26-27psi..it changed a little throughout the day but the 11 second pass was at 26psi

First pass of the day and first pass with the new turbo...bogged the launch pretty bad

Second pass I did a little better launch after raising the two step but I had to let out in second due to wheel hop

Third and final pass I got a decent launch and made it through the gears decently

All in all it was a good day. I am very pleased with the times and I know for a fact it has more in it because I was running rich the whole day and I haven't done a boost leak test in months...even after tearing the motor out and putting it back together :coy:

Oh and btw, this is a 125k mile stock 7 bolt block. It is driven damn near every day and is getting A/C put back in so I can drive it more during the summer. Comfortable streetcar FTW

Congrats on hitting 11's man! Car looks super clean and I bet it rides like a champ!

Hopefully I will be in the same boat by the end of summer.

What turbo did you use for the run?

Nevermind I see! Hx35, hells yeah! Whats next up for this beast!?

Nice job! :thumb: What you have is a car that looks like it would be most at home sitting at a car show, but really is a street/race car capable of 11 second passes in the quarter.:sneaky: :D

Looks nice, probably would benefit from some suspension travel and tuning on the strip, but getting the most performance out of your ride doesn't have to be a priority of yours, if you just want to get a decent time.

Effin awesome! I don't plan on dropping mine real low, but I plan on making her a beautiful, powerful, and road race-capable machine. I love what you've done with yours and I have shown it to some of my friends in the past just because it looked so good. It's awesome to know that it performs too! :hellyeah:

Very clean car bro! Looks amazing, congrats on the 11 :) Should be hitting mid 11's on my Evo as well! Hoping to hit the track in the next couple weeks after I double check the tune and make sure everything is running right. :hellyeah:

I have never seen a more perfect dsm in my life. In all aspects this car is perfect...Hats off to you man, love it!

Sharp looking car! It also runs well. I will allow you to let your car sit low.

Looks great man. Normally I can't stand a wingless 2g, but for whatever reason, yours looks good without it. Sometimes I wish I went with 18s instead of 17s (although my tiny 2 pot brakes would looks silly with 18s)

I love the dark tint on black, and thank you for not tinting your tails, IMO that makes it too dark. (No offence Corey :p)

EDIT: Could we get a shot perpendicular to the side, with the wheels straight. I'm just curious as to how well the wheels/tires fill the wheel well.

Congrats dude. With those trap speeds your WHP is over 400 on the bench dyno. ;)

Good times, now hit that 11.49 and get kicked for not having a cage. You won't be getting the rear subframe until I've got mine, get in line man. :p ...kidding!

:dsm:

Wow dude...thats one badass 2G, congrats on hitting 11's. Which caliper is that btw, they look great!

Congrats bro.

Im following directly in your tire marks XD

Go fast, and look DAMN GOOD doing so.

Been a long time since i saw a nice clean black like that

Next is just to clean up some things and just enjoy it for the summer. Trying to clean up the engine bay and add a few things. Interior will be getting cleaned up as well and then a few body pieces will hopefully be repainted. Also need to do a few suspension items... Performance wise I really don't plan to do anything else besides keep it running smoothly and trying to max it out at the current psi with tuning and adjusting

Awesome run! You've taken this car pretty far, excited to see where you lead it to next.

See above :)

Yeah it probably would but that's not the goal for the car. I drove it to the track exactly as I ran it. 40-45psi in all of the tires and no adjusting of the suspension or anything. No track tune, nothing. Just driven off of the street like it is on a daily basis :)

Good luck man!

Allright so you can be my friend again, we have more things in common now :) congrats

Yaaayyy :thumb: I thought I had lost you there :p And thank you!

Yeah of course, I have a couple in my gallery of them when they were red but I need some side shots of them polished. I love the look of 18s but 17s are nice for track wheels or the like. And thank you :)

I am hoping it is 400awhp :) Hopefully I can make it to the dyno sometime this summer and find out! Good thing about the track I go to is they aren't strict at all, pretty much anything and everything can run. And I am sure you will get yours first, I need to find out pricing and then start saving :p

I still want you to sell me the car... Congrats on the 11 second mark.

Haha it won't be getting sold any time soon, you will be the first to know if it does though ;)

Thank ya, it's the evo calipers

Perfect. I'm not that far away! i still need to drive down and check this out. Lol

If you don't remember me, you posted on a group on FB and told ya I was in Bourbon/Sullivan area and had to come by ahha :thumb:

With this new timeslip is there any chance we can get a picture of the engine bay? That's the only side of your car you haven't shown...

:dsm:

Why yes, yes you can...but on Sunday haha :) I was waiting to get my catch can setup finished and got that done the other day. I will be picking up a stock fan this week and then installing my polished coolant overflow and then the car will be cleaned up for a meet this Sunday so mucho pictures will be taken.

Teaser pics...

This went in besides the coolant overflow
