For some reason the Jegs brand fittings go together smoother than the summit brand fittings. I used russell hose. I'm pretty sure russell still makes the "twist-loc" hose that is a bit cheaper still, but the fittings are different. but yeah the two big places to shop are Summit Racing ? High Performance Car and Truck Parts l Edelbrock, ACCEL, Moroso, K&N, MSD, Holley & More! and JEGS Performance Auto Parts - Holley - Billet Specialties - Edelbrock - MSD - Moroso - Mr Gasket invest in a nice big hose cutter if you decide on stainless braided, good clean cuts are key.

Talk to BrokenTSi, he is a vendor for RCI. He can give you prices on hoses and hose ends (black nylon hose with black hose ends). He could also quote you for a whole fuel system if you wanted!

summit usually has better deals on shipping though. damn me for forgetting any "local" (dsm forums) vendors.

^ and a bag of -AN fittings that you will probably never use sitting in the bottom of your tool box. measure twice, order once.

Stm sells a kit from pump to rail with a fuelab filter kit in black nylon and fittings for $220 is this a good deal or better to get it separate?
That really boils down to what type of hook-up you have. If you pay retail everywhere, then it might not be a bad deal to buy their kit.

I was checking this kit out today. I was going to buy it until I noticed that if you buy the filter and the line kit seperate its A LOT cheaper. Didn't make sens to me. I'm gonna buy some russell pro. Was gonna buy from them but I think I'll shop around. Also,STM has the fuelab filter at retail. I bought the filter from THMotorsports and they had it lower than ANYWHERE else. With tax and shipping I payed less than I would've anywhere else.

Just a thought, you can buy some 3/8 aluminum fuel line and the tube nuts and necessary fittings a lot cheaper than the hose. I think the line is about $20 for a 15 or 20' piece. Just flare the ends and it bolts right up to your -6an filter. You can't even see that expensive braided line anyway. Make sure the line you buy will handle your fuel presure.

i prefer heavy wall stainless tube for undercar fuel lines, then swap to stainless braid to go the the filter and rail, bullet proof setup, and i get the line and comp fittings free :)
