I jumped into this megasquirt ecu with not near enough knowledge and understanding. At this point i feel like i have quite a bit of experience and know how. I recently sent in my MS2 ecu that i purchased for my eclipse as a last resort to the no start. It took about a month but i have my results back. They found a damaged trace supplying power to the injector driver circuit. They told me they believe the damage was due to high system voltages and that i should ensure my charging system is working correctly before installing my ecu. I am very curious to what is the actual cause of my problem and want to fix it before my ecu arrives. It cannot be the alternator because although i am using the symtech supplied voltage regulator, my alternator belt is not on, nor have i tapped the regulator into the power yet. I have a 5A fuse on the power wire going to the injector harness powering all 4 injectors, although the attached megamanual diagram shows the power wiring being split in two with 2 5A fuses. Would this create a problem. For a little history, the car WAS running but poorly earlier this year when the ECU was just installed and standalone harness, 1200cc injectors installed. All at the same time i ordered a new harness, milder 650cc injectors, and had the ecu sent back for IAC and a 2-step rev limiter installed. I rewired the entire car doing it right and very carefully. From this point out the car NEVER ran again. It ran when manually fed fuel through the TB but never on its own. Timing is spot on, and fuel system was just plumbed correctly and all new. This makes me wonder if it was something done while symtech was in posession of the ecu. I dont want to accuse anyone and i definately dont want to assume its a problem on their end when its something with my wiring and have the same thing happen again. Any ideas or suggestions to what it could be? Help is greatly appreciated. Car is a 97 eclipse 420a using ms2, and tunerstudio. also the wiring diagram below is not the one used for my car, just shows an example of how they split the red power wire into two, using two fuses to the injector harness.
