ok i been trying everything and i still cant find the issue . no boost leaks, tps is set right, tranny is good filled with fluids. i cant figure it out :O:banghead: ### help :(

by the way its a 92 talon tsi awd automatic :D

I have a 2g auto with 6 bolt swap and it does the same thing your describing. Idles around 900 which is were i set it with dsmlink then i'll throw it in gear. It drops to around 600rpms and stays at idle. I believe its normal as the motor is now loaded down by the transmission TC and gear.

yea very aware of that but 500 is to low for it to idle properly. i can bump it up but it will only make the idle go up higher in park and i dont feel like having that issue every time i park it. LOL

Since your car is an automatic, this happens to every vehicle out there. Stick in 'D', and hold the brakes, the idle goes down... its only normal.

Also, if your worried the idle is to low when it is in drive and your on the brakes... that should only happen when your at a red light, or stop sign... so for that short amount of time, i wouldnt worry.

The original ECU code for automatics made provisions for managing the idle speed in and out of gear.
It needs working park-neutral (inhibitor) and idle position switches and a good ISC to function. The TCU also uses the TPS and IPS as input so if your having to use simulate the idle position switch in DSMLink your going to have issues with the TCU.

I don't think DSMLink added any code for automatics so even if you started with a EPROM automatic ECU installing DSMLink would turn it into a manual trans ECU.

With an automatic ECU you set the out of gear idle speed and when the ECU senses from the park-neutral that the trans is in gear it will raise the idle so the engine doesn't bog.
