I'm doing a 6 bolt swap and have a few questions. I'm wanting to make at least 350-400 whp. I'm doing 91 block eagle crank, eagle h beam rods, and Manley 9:1 pistons. I want to Ditch the eBay 16g n get a turbo that handle the power. Also going to be running crower 272 cams springs and retainers. Arp bolts all the way. Was thinking 650 injectors. So what turbo do y'all suggest and do you think my mods would support it?

By the way I will have dsmlink v3.

For a 16g a stock bottom end will be just fine. You are wasting money on the forged internals.

But he want's to get rid of the 16g right? What about an HX35? Do you want "instaboost" or are you ok with a little lag? What's your budget?

The guy I bought block from said that it had a rod knock. I disassembled the block to check. I didn't find any bad rod bearings but did find that the main center bearing was scorned. Also who ever had it didnt do the bse correctly I'm taking it because the bs bearings were bouncing around in block. I know I'm building higher than I need but I want to do it right the first time. You never kno I might want more power down the road and won't have to worry bout the internals

I really don't have a budget so to speak. It's kinda like a summer project buying parts every other payday. As for the turbo I don't want the eBay turbo to crap out on me if I hit my power goals.

You can get plenty of power from a Holset, the HX35 could probably reach your goals.

Ya a seven blade hx35 with t3 turbine housing will have great spool and flow characteristics. If you want a little more the hx40 can achieve 60lbs/min with the dsm housing but may feel a little laggier.

I suggest the HX35 though since it'll spool a little quicker. Don't get me wrong the 40 is a little badass but you're right, it does lag a little. A better intake manifold can do wonders after you boost as well.
