I searched a bit and couldn't find any threads on this. I'm sure there are some in here but a bunch of jibberish was coming up so, sorry!

Anyway, AC doesn't work any way and i'm a grown man and dont need PS, also the belt has started squeeking so im looking at PS/AC Delete but need the part number or at least size of the belt with those 2 things deleted.

Thanks ahead of time!

??Um???
Am i missing some thing here?

Doesn't one belt drive the AC and the PS, and the other belt drives the ALT.
So if this is correct don't you just remove the belt that drives the AC and PS and remove the accessories.

Which leads me to the last question, Why do you need another belt?

He may be talking about just running a smaller belt against the belt tensioner and back. Which would be the best idea by far. :thumb:

I am with this dude. I even went out and relooked my 95 eagle talon and yes the acc belt ran the PS & AC then went around a tensioner and crank pulley. The second belt runs your alternator.

I guess that's my question to. Why get another belt? I have high doubts that having the alternator belt tight will pull crank over to cause and abnormal engine wear. I still don't recommend this though.

Next just a question for the OP...why not just leave everything as is? the belt may wear out but its $20 every 60,000 miles (til its good and shot) or so and no hassle in trying to get it work otherwise. Unless its a drag caror auto-x, I don't see purpose.

96 Eclipse gave the OP some choices of different belts (depending on what the OP wants to save or delete). 96 Eclipse then gave the OP a link that shows how to delete the tensioner (and you would use the ps pump for adjustment). Because the tensioner is a common problem, this is done often.

Finally, if the OP wanted to just delete the AC and power steering, he could simply take that belt off.

AC doesn't work and I don't need the PS so i am deleting them to reduce some weight and clean up the engine bay a tad.

Question was answered, thank you very much guys and have a good day!
