Here's the vid of my [email protected] pass :D. It sucks I can barely here my car over the Honda .

HAHA, stupid hondas! That guy probably put thousands of dollars more into his stupid honda and you still kicked his ass! Glad to see people are still putting time into FWD's, I am. It makes it that much better when you smoke a honda and they can't use the excuse that you have AWD.

No sir. I still have a little bit more to do. Going through some pretty significant changes for power and more weight savings. Car should be ready by the event in May. Hoping the first or second week in May she is running and tuned! You going to be running?

Greetings my FWD brethren. I sent my spyder down the track this past weekend and was greatly disappointed. My butt dyno had told me that this was a low 14 sec car, but it was very wrong. This was my first drag strip pass in a vehicle. I'm used to cutting 1.4 60s and 10 flat passes on my little 600cc CBR, but this was an entirely different endeavor. Launching these peg legged, traction starved, chunky butt cars takes some skill and I tip my hats to you gents who do it well. My 60ft is so embarrassing that I won't even post it. My trap speed tells me that the car has some potential, but the driver needs some work. I had a hell of a time making the 1-2 shift. It feels like there is a wall there and I literally have to muscle it into gear. There is no grinding at all, only a stubborn and constant resistance that requires considerable force to overcome. Thoughts and encouragement are welcome. Thanks guys. I needed to vent and cry a little on the inside at the same time. Here it is.....

You could try a short shifter or maybe adjusting your shifter is all you have to do. Keep playing with it till you get it where you like it. I probably adjusted my throw 15times after I swaped a 90 tranny into my 91 creating a shorter shift beacuse of tranny shift arms.

Shifter Adjustment I imagine it's really no different to adjust the shifter in a 2G.

Nice cant wait to see a fast fwd dsm down there...

I'm running I'm thinking 13.8@102. ...LOL

Got the wheels on today. Tight fit and they stick out more than I was wanting, but all is good. Also, extended studs, small spacer, and shank lug nuts used.

Yea, stock brakes. I don't remember the spacer size, had them from several years ago.

Do you have info on the lugs you are using with the extended studs? I will be upgrading not too long from now!

Just ran a 13.5 @ 105 with a 2.2 60 ft , I just feathered it of the launch ( 3k rpms) with no burnout on the bfg dr. , I had a bad boost leak so next race I should be low 13's with the DP n a proper burnout/ launch

Just installed the road surge shift box and ordered a vacuum pump to help stall up the converter. Just waiting for it to come in to test how much high I can stall before pushing through the brakes. I'm looking to run at the very least a 1.7 60ft on slick and nitrous.

It's alive and sounds really mean! I am trying to load a youtube video. Tomorrow I will get it cleaned up and finish hooking up the shifter cable then off to the chassis shop sunday. I will have a few things to wrap up after it comes back but man this is a huge accomplishment for me whereas I put in 16-18 hr days 7 days a week the last few weeks between work and the car! I'm ****... gonna go have a few beers then hit the sack!

ridiculousnesss :thumb: all you need now is the matching skinnies

Man it feels good to get this accomplished. It's going to the chassis shop today and when it comes back I will be breaking in the motor and testing the sinister level 4 on a road in mexico :)

I did drive it about 2 miles yesterday and just cruising around town and barely making 5 lbs of boost the converter feels pretty good. I know tons of people want more feedback on the Sinister converters so I plan on logging several things after I get the car back.

Here's a startup video, the lifters are still trying to pump up

Sounds GREAT! You have a mod list by chance?

Nice. Why did you have to use spacers though? Do they not make an offset that will work without them?

I coudnt get a "for sure" answer when I was looking to get a set of wheels, so I took a shot in the dark on backspacing. I don't remember exactly where it was rubbing on the car though.

I did not see it in the link, but whats the weight of those wheels? Looks good.

Weld lists them at 13.8lbs

WOW! :hellyeah: I wish I had seen your wheel combo before getting mine, I like the look a lot. Very excited to follow your car this season. Will you be making it to the shootout?

Thanks Ian! The Shootout is the only race I plan on going to this year. I have never been to one and want to meet all the people I have spoken/texted to for years and have never met. I need to weigh the car whereas I know it's getting pretty chunky! I have not taken out any weight except the a/c and p/s.
