Just filled the car up with 91 and after about 15 seconds of driving the car basically is acting like the Maf plug was unplugged. Keeps stalling out and it wont let me go over 2k rpms and it sounds terrible.

Cars been running fine for awhile. The fuel filter is about a year old and i'm running a evo 9 Fp. I dont see/smell any gas leaks. I did a short block rebuild about 6 months ago, is there something i forgot to put in causing this? Thanks

The problem lessoned up a bit since ive been driving around and burning some of the gas. Im getting a few count of knock (3-4) tho when i really get on it tho. Its rather infrequent though (once every 3 pulls. Some pulls i wont get any knock)

Its very odd anyone have any suggestions?

I stopped putting gas as soon as it clicked. Quite possible its overfilled but didn't think it'd cause something like this. Before I rebuilt the motor it never had this issue. This is the second time now.

Its never been tuned and I don't have a wideband so i dont know my afr. But I know the car has a hefty boost leak that ive been trying to track down for some time. The leak has always been there though and its never caused this type of issue in the past. I can post a log tho give me a bit to get a few quick 2nd/3rd gear pulls.

Where did you buy your gas? Kinda sounds like bad gas. Which can be seen with wideband and a log.

Ok logs uploaded. The first log was done about 1 gallon burned after the fill up. Tons of knock and car physically cut the gas. Second log was done after a bit over 2 gallons was burned, probably would have knocked more but I let off. 3rd log was after about 4 gallons were gone. As you can see the knock is pretty much gone.

Filled up at chevron btw.

Mine is doing the samething man, its really starting to irritate
me. One problem after another, I knew this before I bought the car but whatever.

Did you over-fill the tank? DSMs have a finicky and poorly-designed EVAP system.

(In Ed Mcmahon voice) Right you are sir.

My Talon sometimes idles rough after a fill up. One time after the pump failed to shut off and the tank ran over it ran as the OP described.

I would toss the evap junk off the bat. Although it sounds like a bad fuel issue. Possibly water contamination.
