Hey, my car is a 1990 eagle talon awd tsi. Just the other night my headlights, which are flip-up headlights, when turned off or on the lights do a 'wave'... one goes up, the other goes down. I have visually checked the wiring, seems fine. i can manually lift or lower the headlights to realign them. But when turned back on, they do the same 'wave'. Any ideas will help! tired of not being able to not drive at night... Thanks.

sounds like one of the motors is one half turn ahead, push the button on the dash, then set the one thats down up, making sure to turn in the direction of the arrow till its where it needs to be, push the button again and that should fix it

Push the button on the dash that brings the lights up. Turn the knob on the motor until the one that is down is at the top of its range. Be sure to observe and follow the arrow on the knob. After the light is up, press the button on the dash and cycle the lights down and back up, it should be fine now.

The other option, to avoid all that turning of the knob, is to unplug the motor that is down when the lights are on, turn the lights off (making the one that is up, go down) and plug the motor back in. Viola! It's fixed.

It sounds like what I just had to deal with. You have one headlight that always wants to go down, Right? If so theres a resistor inside the gear part of the motor that is bad, I just took apart the whole motor assembly "pain in the butt" and solder a new resistor on. Don't even try not worth it, just buy a new headlight motor....

Thank you for all the replies! I havnt had the chance to come on here for a few days.... ill try the 'pushing of the button' technique and see if that works. But the thing is, is that i could see that working is they only did the 'up & down' once... but they go up & down and out of order about 10 times before they come to a stop... then one will be like all the way up anf the other partially up... its weird...
