Thanks Knockgoon, That is a smart idea. But now on debating on touching it all LOL. I still think i might have to do a lil something on the dash as far as a cf wrap. at the right time of day the glare is really bad. What part of PA are you in. Im in Erie all the time. Literally all the time my wife is in med school there so im there 3-4 days out of the week.

Getting black seats would help, as the grey ones look out of place.

Don't use anything like ArmorAll to clean the dash. Use something like Formula 409 (without bleach). It will get the dirt and grime off, but it won't put a shiny "protectant" on the dash.

@ lurker - yeah he did. if the idea wasnt sick enough alone, he did an awesome job putting it on. I did a search for Nikola and couldnt find him/her. Hey i noticed your in brampton, im right over the border in buffalo. I have family in st. catherines and oakville.

See I wish I had family in the US, would make parts way cheaper for me; CF hatch/hood on hold because of how much it costs just to ship it :( Although I do sneak to Buffalo from time to time to grab some cake at the cheesecake factory :D

Whatever you choose for the car I'm sure it'll turn out good though. By the looks of it you have an eye for detail and great taste. If the glare gets to you though, that idea of using the cf wrap on the front dash will work. You could even skip putting it around the gauges over the vents to accentuate them with the rest of the trim.

ill be in oakville in june but obviously ill be flying over there so no DSM haha

Honestly im sure you get a lot of "ricer" comments. Some people just prefer a stock look.
Theres nothing wrong with that, but theres nothing wrong with what youve got going here. Its your car man, your car is like your home, or your clothes, or anything else that associates with your person.
Just a few words of encouragement to never be discouraged by anyone who simply doesnt like it because its not stock, its your car.

Now, personally I do like more of an oem feel, however what youve got going on here doesnt look half bad and I respect the work behind it.
Heres how I would improve it though.

Theres too much white in certain areas. AWW_420 pointed the major areas I would definitely agree with. My suggestion is the door panels need the most attention because theres too much white. Im not entirely sure about the construction of the 2g panels, but have you considered wrapping it in black vinyl towards the top of the panel? Honestly it may be too much work, but I would physically chop the door panel in an upper and lower part and wrap the top part in black vinyl.

As for the dashboard IDK. I feel as though youve incorporated all the carbon fiber you need in the arm rest piece. Maybe a custom dash mat?

thanks lurker, next time your in buffalo shoot me a pm im only about a mile from the cheesecake factory.

^^ I agree the seats look weird or slightly worn compared to the freshness of everything else. Overall though I love the interior.

Seats are a whole other story. I was wanting some classier looking seats and a friend of mine was suppose to be hooking up his rx8 and getting sparcos and selling me the seats but he is taking his sweet time modding his rx.

I am aww_420 i am the OP LOL

I dont hear talk of rice very much if at all. Not a lot of DSMers here in WNY and out of the ones that are here 90% are far far too riced out so around here my car is pretty much opposite side of the spectrum especially with the exterior being all stock.

The dash is a custom dash mat. Its a plastic overlay. It is not painted. Well the dash does have some paint on underneath from the previous owner but that was covered in one of my original posts.

I Started the thread because i was thinking there was too much white, and the glossy white on the dash is causing a lot of glare around dusk. So I hear what you saying and i agree but i assure you, me altering the interior has nothing to do with anyone's opinion. I was merely asking for ideas on what to do about taking the white down a notch because I personally was thinking i might want too. I like the white but it is fairly bright on a sunny day and it is somewhat of a safety issue with the glare. I was on the fence with doing it to begin with but now with just a couple people suggesting that I change it and a lot more people saying it looks great not too change a thing. Im starting to sway toward not touching the doors and sticking mainly to ideas about the dash to cut down the glare. maybe even no carbon fiber or vinyl at all. a friend of my said to maybe put a matte finish over part of it that reflex the glare. IDK. Its all being tallied and I appreciate all the ideas so i hope people keep them coming. I started out with no clue what to do after searching for ideas online for an hour and only about an 20 minutes after posting here on tuners I had too many to choose from LOL Thanks

The door panels are a reproduction item. But they are hard to find. They Usually sell for about $400 and ive seen them on ebay for cheaper tho. They require a lot of fabrication even tho they are from a mold. You need to have some backround in FG or a quick learner.

The ones in the pic below fit a lot better not as much fabrication needed. they ship them primer grey but they sell for about 900 after shipping

Sick interior, I like the custom dual speaker molding

Does the white reflect off the back of the windshield? You could make that section black or +1 for adding carbon fiber..everywhere!

New seats would be a nice touch

Daaaaaaamnnnn. I'd be afraid to drive that car with all that white. Holy sheebus. Tis very perdy though. I kind of actually like it with the white exterior.

As a note, I've seen that white paint masks imperfections like dents and such much better than most other colors. They're just hard to see on the white surface.

It does show dirt easier, though.

Thanks

The seats will be done in time. Just waiting till my buddy gets of his arse and works on his RX8 or if i get a good deal on some s2000 seats. But thats far down my list. as for the interior after im happy with the front i will be puttin in a better sub box enclosure in the back seat.

The easiest way to visually balance it I think would be black inserts. I would mold carbon fiber to it, maybe black suede, or just some black painted areas..

Both of these interior's look great. Would love to have a clean interior such as these one day.

have u considered evo 9 seats? the SE seats have red stiching and the SSL are all leather in black. all u need is custom rails

You should do something with the seats. Theyre bringing down the work you did tot he dash and panels. They make a carbon fiber looking vinel that im planing on using in mine.

Dude your interior is sick...where did you get all that? it looks great the way it is...but you can never go wrong with some CF!!

Thanks man appreciate it,

I just replaced the seats. I was waiting for a friends RX seats but i decided to go with some all black tenzos. they look really good. Ill post a pic up when i get back to town. trying to get more done but things are moving slow. I bought a 16G from a guy on here that was suppose to be new and it was all rusted and beat up when it came in. I filed a report with paypal when he wouldnt return my messages and now after i spent $30 to send it back to him hes claiming he didnt get it so that he can keep the turbo and the $$. so now everything is on hold until this dirt bags antics are through with.

isn't the white dashboard blinding in the sun? I've never experienced it but I heard to never go all white dash ### there is ridiculous glare when the sun hits it.

For the person that said he probably gets a lot of "rice" comments, I'm not sure why he would.. he has a turbo charged car. the only thing you could even remotely consider rice is the turbo and greddy stickers he has. any other rice comments directed at him would be jealously because almost any DSMer would take his interior over stock, perhaps with a little less white though. I would also powdercoat his rims black but thats personal prefrence. I, on the other hand, could recieve rice comments because of my body kit and NA but when ppl see my car in real life they appreciate how clean the body work looks and say it looks good instead. I didn't buy my car with the idea that I was ever going to go fast or that I even wanted to as it's not something I know. I bought it to build a nice looking car, which is something I do know and that's what I did. I don't act like my car is fast either.
