So I was curious of there was other members that have other side hobbies, one in specific, aquariums (fresh or saltwater)

I'm actually in the process of a 300gallon fish tank build to breed stingrays, I'd post pictures but not sure if it's even appropriate for the site? The fish forum I'm on there are plenty of car enthusiasts, just wanted to see what DSMers out there are into fish like me!

I run about 12-18 tanks in a small fishroom, ~700-900 gallons depending on how much space I need at the time, and breed african cichlids/catfish.

I have a 44g high tank with a bunch of cichlids and real plants,waiting on my basement to get finish so I can start my 210g saltwater,with probaly a blue spotted ray and some sharks.

i have a 13 gallon freshwater Shrimp tank. Yeah, shrimps

My favorite animal is an Octopus, puffers coming in at a close second. I wish I had the time to raise an octopus or nautillus.

I used to have Oscars, does that count? Lol I had 4 of them and fed them bloodworms. They were fun. Had to get rid of them when we moved, and I found out the dude that I gave them to, his brother spilled vodka in the tank. Apparently fish aren't big drinkers But me and the hubby have been talking about getting rid of our boa and doing a saltwater tank. I think my son would enjoy it too, maybe seeing a 'nemo' in the tank.

I've been trying to find a larger tank to start a salt water one. Right now I have a 38 gal bow front tank. I have a bunch of fresh water tropical fish. Normally grab them for $1 when they are on sale at petsmart!


I think I have 19 total fish right now. Bunch of guppies, tetras, glo fish, 2 suckers, a snail, and albino cat fish.
