That's cool info, and you are 100% correct about mounts from this car ending up on that car
I agree, I don't see how it wouldn't fit the same either.....
I'll look at my car in the garage, and take a shot, and then run back down to the shop and inspect the stud area where the crossmember mounts on the '92 cars down there.....see if I can notice a difference, hell I'll take my tape measure too....
Well, I won't be installing my crossmember for quite some time. #1 I don't have it yet, have to wait til after the holidays....and #2 my car probably won't have an engine back in it til around May-June. But, if noone has reported findings here by then, I definitely will.
Can't wait to tell him he has an AUTO bracket on his M/T car
<3Bless you, Paul.
I'm not entirely sure yet. I'll figure it out tomorrow morning and post an ad, so keep an eye on the freelancer section tomorrow.Any idea on the new price for the updated 3 piece design with the included plates?
Most definitely. But that's something I would leave up to the end user. You'd have to cut the lower radiator support out and cap off the ends. And the mounts for the radiator would depend on which radiator was being used. I had planned to do exactly this on my od 1G. I had the lower suppor removed, but I never got around to welding brackets onto the crossmember bar before I got rid of the car. It's definitely something you would want to set up on the car though. And it is an excellent way to simplify the front end.Could this design be incorporated to have tabs welded on to hold the radiator and then eliminate the brace for the rad support and add a brace accross the front if the core support was removed at one point?
Most definitely and yes I will.Do you think for the people who ordered the one piece design will benefit from these new pieces bolted onto the k-member seperatly? If so will you be selling these seperate from the front bar?
The k-members are the same, so the plates should fit no problem. And I know the front bar fits. The only thing I don't know is if the lengths of the parallel bars are the same or not.Everything on the K member should be the same on the GVR4, the part under the rad supports I have no idea.
I sent you a PM about this yesterday. Did you get it?bummer wish i would have waited a little bit before i ordered mine
Not a bad idea. I hadn't considered it. It would probably cost a decent amount more though.Did you consider using aluminum?
Is this new 3 piece design still available?
All I can find now is the old style?
