I also went in a bought a ticket. My lady friend and I don't ever gamble or play the lottery but, as it was put above, "for half a billion..." we threw down $5.

I had a real kick out of a situation that arose while purchasing my very first lotto ticket. A woman came running into the gas station in a frenzy because she was in a uhaul and couldn't get to the right pump because it so busy. It was also busy inside at the register because so many people wanted to buy tickets.
So this loud-ass woman starts bitching and complaining about how people need to move their cars and trade pumps with her etc.. eventually someone caters to her bantering but when she comes back in to pay she starts exclaiming (in my ear, along with everyone else's) about how she just figured out why the gas station must have been so busy. Now this women, obviously very very entitled, and wearing at least 10k in jewelry starts running her mouth how she never wasted her time or money with gambling and that she was a "stocks and bonds girl!!". This individual was beyond spoiled, and definitely rude to everyone who was inside.
She turned her head towards me, to discover I had a ticket in my hand. She gasped as she realized that EVERYONE in line had one. So she slipped out, with her nose to the air as if us dirty-folk were going to infect her.
The chatter started immediately after she left. I mean there were 15 guys standing around waiting, and listening to her banter. Everyone get's their cheapshot in while she's outside, but I just stayed quiet.
At last, everyone, including myself has purchased their ticket and we're now all either gathering outsider to compare numbers or meandering to our vehicles. Now was my chance. "ONLY STOCK AND BONDS! ONLY STOCKS AND BONDS! I DON'T GAMBLE! I'M A STOCKS AND BONDS GIRL!!!!!!!" I bellowed with all my might. My diaphragm made the earth quake and and those who had the pleasure of meeting this woman only added to the thunder with their unanimous shriek of laughter.
Justice was served as I received my multiple thumbs up and one dirty, dirty scowl.

Florida is lame and didn't participate. Sooo that didn't give me a chance to buy a ticket.

If I did win, I would have bought land to build a 1/4 mile drag strip and auto-x track. Jacksonville doesn't have one, and we NEED one. Even if I never earned all my money back, its something I would enjoy running and giving my friends the opportunity to enjoy without making them drive 2+ hours away to events to do stuff like that.

I won about 150,one more number and could have gotten a quarter million.

I won 2 bucks!! Ha

I also won $2, on $10 worth of tickets.

How did you manage that? The lowest pay in $2 for the megaball if I remember correctly

No we only won $12 but the winner was only 10 miles from where we got our tickets!!

ha!! I didnt even get a ticket so I'm still breaking even........I need to start gambling damnit.
