1g vs 2g 1000+hp

Once your at that power level I don't think it really matters if its a 1g or 2g, almost everything has been replaced on the car.
 
OMG... That 1g was a freakin bullet. Could not have asked for a better race! GJ to both car/owners
 
That was also Wohler's first pass in almost 2 years with an iffy launch, spinning. If Wigger would figure out why he keeps popping the rockers off, he could have an 8 sec pass.

Always makes me wonder why he don't just run 26" Slicks and drop the 24.5". I know the difference and it will make your speed higher but still..
 
It was hard trying to get both cars in the video.

John has been bogging out of the hole trying to find the sweet spot on the clutch and Mike just lit the tires off and took off.

The track was shit. Couldn't even find a stickey groove to line the cars up in.

Once John gets the launch down his shit is going to fly! He also needs to find out whats up with those damn rockers. Mike just needed to do a quick burn out and he would have been set on another 8sec pass.

ya it looked like they couldnt get grip at all both awesome cars tho no doubt about that

Its not easy to make any 1000+whp go down the track with a manual trans, regardless of the chassis.

It was a qualifying pass, what does RT have anything to do with it?

The cars make similar power and are different chassis, Some like to see the differences of how each can handle those kind of power levels.

i thought the 2g had him until the clocks popped up, notice the 9.3 came before the 9.2? video lag? ha

They are still dialing their setups in, Mike was shaking out the cobwebs, and both are dealing with all the quirks inherent to a >1000whp 2.0l.

I think that the fact they both ran low 9s on a crappy track with all the above is quite impressive.

Both are 8 second cars when they get in the groove.

I'd like to see you row an MT DSM down the track with 4 digit power.

So in racing it doesn't matter when you take off? If you don't start taking off until you see the green, you're too late already, much less another second after the green. Most guys would've been 50+ ft down the track by the time these guys decided to take off.

A real race is won or lost by reaction time many times.
 
In bracket racing or head to head its just the first to the end so that's where the RT matters. If your just going for your best time it doesn't matter since the timer only starts once you leave the line.
