Hi,

I have just purchased a 4g63t from a friend, this engine is (wrecked?):

-Cranckshaft, main bearings & one connecting rod are compromised.

Due to a complete rebuild, how parts I need to buy?

-New 7 bolt crankshaft
-New set of pistons
-New connecting rods
then?
I need to buy oversizes?

Thanks a lot for answers!!

Sorry 4 my english!!!WTF

Sounds like a bad thermostat or clogged cooling system. Next time it's warmed up and running, feel the bottom radiator hose. If it's much colder than the top, yout T-stat is bad.

By the way, GREAT job on the conversion!

Well, after some test runs, the upper hose feels the 90°C AND but is under pressure WTF, the lower is colder but not too much...
BTW My T-stat is a 82°C, coming from the european 2g 4g63 N/A engine...any difference between this and the stock gst?

Good luck with your build and you must be rich with how gas prices are over there haha.

Tnx :D! unfortunately, not rich :p.... Gas is about 1.75/1.80 EURO per LITER.... 90 oct....:ohdamn:

Dang, that's like $9/gallon.

The stock temp gauge is notoriously inaccurate IMO. The OEM gauge doesn't really match up to my digital gauges.
100C translates to like 212F. Mine runs at 210F on average, and gets up to 215-220F when really getting on it. I've never had any issues.

Great build btw!

Tnx man! LOL

Assuming it is notoriously inaccurate, it is normal to be in the half top of the scale? When i was N/A (european 4g63 N/A in 2g :hellyeah:) needle pointed in the middle most of the time...

I have a little issue with the water temp, my stock gauge is almost always in the half top of the scale...but my aftermarket (mechanical) gauge reads only 90-100 degrees °C at the radiator hose (think is right)...

Is that an air bubble in the thermostat housing?
When I shut off the engine I can hear the water boiling into the housing....WTF

Things in italy are really bad...no work and politicians stole us the money.... in italian language "BELPAESE di MERDA". :thumb:

that sucks man, i didn't know things were that bad economically wise over there. I always wished i lived in either england, spain or italy, you guys are very passionate about soccer, that's why i asked LOL...anyways back to your problem, i would definately check both the ECT sensor and might as well replace the thermostat with the OEM gst one. Good luck.

what is with the milage?

At the moment I have 13 (not 13k)miles, because is a 0mile build! :hellyeah: all brand new!!

Hi Leo wish my one looked so good but if you want to see the timing belt get a clear cover it's safer less chance if a snapped belt any joy with the idle problem

Injectors are stock 450cc, walbro 255, afpr set to 43psi

Car consumes a lot, like 8 liters in 20 miles..needs a long while to get speed..turbo starts to kick in after 4000rpm....

I'm trying to figure out how i can set up it properly...just stock power levels..
