just rebuilt my motor and it wont start, got a compression tester today no compression. did i bend some valves?

Hard to tell before you get the head off. Make sure the timing is 100 percent set right next time.

You should ALWAYS, ALWAYS, turn your motor over by hand after Doing anything with the timing. Could have saved yourself some trouble. You may have even broke a valve which could be tearing up your cylinder walls everytime u crank it. No compression on any of the cylinders?

trust me i had the timing 100% idk if it just jumped or what i marked the timing with a grease marker and rotated the motor and it lined up.

no compression at all

I have done that also 1 time before i had all marks lined up, everything correct and turned by hand had compression during priming of oil, the second i actually started it BOOM jumped time, bye bye $300 valve job.

Did you put the timing plate on the crank on backwards? Seen that over 5 times and have done it once, But caught it because I spun the motor by HAND before starting it. That will bend the valves

found my problem. the timing marks were wright. one of the dowel pins were not. i feel like an idiot the whole reason for the rebuild was because the car jumped timing and dropping a valve. anothere 400 down the drain.

is there anyway by chance it didnt bend a valve?

it runs!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! thanks. im guessing the valves are fine or? only ran it for a second

oooh, damn bro. im feelin your pain. better luck when it goes back together next time. you could be on the road in 2 weeks and its not alot of money. i know it sucks but its not a 2000 dollar f up.
