Noisy belts?

So a while ago before I parked my car for the winter I did a complete timing belt change with all the other belts too. I got Gates Blue belts.
THis is the kit I got and installed EXTREME PSI : Your #1 Source for In Stock Performance Parts

all with gates. Also got a Fluidampr one of the belts were too short and it would not fit around the fluidampr and one of the pulleys. So I went and got a gates Black belt one size bigger to fit and I tightened it all up. Well it squealed after all was put back together and and it would stop like a few seconds after.
So I was just thinking it had to do with new belts need to sit and just break in.
Drove it around for a while before winter and same thing.
Well parked it for winter and started it up and nothing no squeal. Well Yesterday and today it started squealing again and its loud but stops after a few seconds.

so any suggestions as what to do?
 
I had a similar noise, but it was more "chirpy". At the time I hadn't done any maintenance so I started with the belts, nothing. Next went the pulleys, nothing, they were all straight and greased. Now I'm down to the AC compressor which I'm putting on tomorrow, I found a good one used so hopefully that does it cause it's hella annoying.
 
Before anyone else notices this, Did anyone think on the bearing in the pulleys? (Like alt. or acc.) A quick fix is a bar of soap to quiet it down....just an old trick.
 
My old alternator belt used to squeal like crazy. The guy before me tightened the piss out of it. The bearings were messed up on the alternator so I just got a new one, and the problems stopped. Every time after i wash my car and start it up, the belt squeals a little bit from the water that leaks into the engine bay. I may need to tighten mine a little more though...

If you get the chance and are willing to deal with the bi*** of a process of removing and installing the alternator, i would check the bearings.
To do that all you have to do is spin it by hand and if you hear a squeak at certain intervals, you need a new alternator. Also, if the bearings rub like crazy and its extremely difficult to spin, then you need a new one.

I've also seen (well heard) belts chirping or squealing from being too tight. If it were bearings I'd think the squeal would keep going instead of stopping after a couple seconds like the op said.
 
I went and tightened all the belts and it will chirp for like a second and then go away but nothing like it was in the video. So idk i checked the belts they all look good, all pulleys are solid no wobble. could it just be the belts themselves?
 
My first DSM was VERY picky about what belt I used. It had to be OEM from mitsu or it would squeal and that was with belt dressing and proper tension, they also would wear on one side because grooves just never quite matched up with pulley. Alt and PS belts are pretty cheap from dealer and never squealed.
 
These cars don't like anything but OEM belts. I had parts stores belts on my old Talon, properly tightened, and they still squealed. After the rebuild on my current Talon, I installed only OEM belts, not a single squeal out of it.
 
I was considering using aftermarket belts but I myself decided to go factory oem all the way.
