OK new problem before i go to bed . I have searching and nothing . so here is my problem when i put my car in first gear and take off from a stop the right side tire feel like it is slipping or hopping i would like to know were to look at when i look at my car in the morning .

I can see if you have a GST or X. You sure youre not losing traction?
Thats called a one tire fire my friend.
If youre sure its not that, a clutch slipping and a bad motor mount could give you the same feeling I guess.

When you go any time or when you are launching? If its when you are launching its called victim of an open differential.

Limited Slip Differential (LSD) would help out... but the main problem with FWD is wheel slip and hopping under load. Most of the time it is a balancing act of clutch slip, feathering the gas, the finding the right RPM to launch from.

Slicks help you immensely at the track, but high horsepower FWD cars still have this issue even with slicks.

Oh, you can spin the tires on a stock car. ;) I just gave the high-horsepower example because this is an inherent problem with FWD vehicles as a whole and takes skill to control it.

My old '99 Neon would spin the tire (no LSD) in 1st, 2nd and even in 3rd under hard launches.

But if you are referring to something else... like it does this without being hard on it, then maybe there's another problem. Also check the condition of your tires. If they are old, then the slipping will be magnified.

When I was stock, I could spin/hop. Hop was eliminated with performance tires. You can always lesson spin but never truly eliminate it. Although on a stock car, upgrading to a LSD would certainly make it much less of a factor.. then again if you are keeping your car completely stock then I see no reason that you are constantly launching or would need a reason to fix it.

An LSD would help you but on a NT why waste your time and especially your $. Equal length half shafts and motor mounts do help alot as well as tires and coilovers but like I said why waste your time on a 2g NT 7bolt? Just keep driving it and pretend it's fast, maybe get a sweet loud as muffler for it:)

You could have bad ball joints or tie rods and that can be checked by looking for cracked boots and shaking the tire to see if their is alot of play.

What the hell is a 2g non turbo 7 bolt?

Its the JDM engine. You have to import it overnight from japan :D

To the OP, I think you just need to let off the gas a bit. My gst has pretty new tires and unless I'm giving it some decent gas from a dig I don't get wheel hop.

Well I see not play on the tire i just put on tie rod end on it a few weeks ago and that was really bad . I will look it over again this weekend because I have to change the brakes on her .

Yes I know this is N/T and believe me i am looking for a AWD . I have had this car for 10 years but I will keep her vs my ex ha ha ha . She told me to sell her 2 years back because she was not running . And all the only problem was bad spark plugs :hellyeah: If it was not for this site I might have done a swap for a new motor .
