You probably have the settings on that video set to private instead of public.

yea it has no hood latch and i forgot to tie it down after jumping it =[ but im dissapointed with that launch i need to get the ones that happed befor this witch was alot better

thats 200 installed..... i dont have the money for that=[ looks like im bout to tackle this project on my own if i can find a cheap windshield... maybe pexyglass haha a

OEM or CF hood?

Why no latch?

"Tie it down"?

Dude...

oem hood.... no latch because it didnt have one when i bought it because well it was hit LOL.... and yea tie it down the i got it home was i put a bungie type cord on the hood that loop thing that connects to hood latch and tie it around the ac lines that are there below( the cars ac is not hooked up)

OUch that sucks.. get a junkyard hood and a windshield can be had installed for 160 on a 2g car. but for chirst's sake don't run with a bungee cord holding your hood down.. you might as well walk around with a grenade ijn your pocket and a string tied to the pin dragging behind you with a 20 dollar bill hooked on it.. other words using a bungee it's only a matter of time before the pin is pulled and that grenade goes off in your pocket (or in the real case a hood comes at your face and possibly a LOT higher speeds than what this cvideo showed)

Or spend $20 and get a set of hood pins.

this video i had to at least be around 50.. all i know i was at the very top of 1st or maybe the middle of second ... but not a thin bungey cord its one of those thick black square rectangular ones for a temp.... i was going to get pins for the car just been waiting to get it on the road .... and i dont have a 160 to spend hate to say it and we dont have any junkyards like that i dont think i know theres no pull a parts here

tell me about it and the windshield feels/looks like if i touch it it will shatter LOL speaking of shatter i thank god that it didnt....

They are made not to. And 160 bucks is pretty cheap. I just paid 200 for my new one. Kind of worked out in my favor though, the old windshield had a crack in it anyways! :p

Did you just get this car? Did you have something else?

i got this car a month ago? what do you did i have something else? im a lil confused LOL

160? where r u getting 160 from?.... yea my windshield had a crack in it to LOL

Ok, that made my day. And I feel your pain, it's from laughing pretty hard but I still feel it. Anyway, I would recommended full insurance if you can. My windshield was old and pitted. When the sun hit it just right it was very hard and sometimes impossible to see. One ball peen hammer whack and presto chango, new windshield. No questions asked. I know its hind sight but I did the limited liability thing for a long time and in the long run didn't save enough money for it to have been worth it. Those high deductibles and window fixes are a pain.

Good luck with the repair and remember the windshield is part of the structural integrity of the entire car so if you don't know how to do it right get a pro.

I had this happen to me once too only it happened at twice the speed you were at, if you were right about the fifty miles an hour. My hood destroyed my windsheild and got ripped off the hinges. Lucky enough I was alone on the road.

You be careful getting in that car now. We had a car that we picked up for $300 with the same perfect hump imprint in the windshield. Car ran and we ended up selling the while thing to someone who wanted the motor. Well it obviously had to be trailered to go anywhere and I was the lucky one to steer it. Not even thinking about it, I brought my hand up over the wheel when I turned out of my driveway and bam, right into hanging sharp glass. I've got a real pretty scar on my finger where a chunk of skin went missing. So just be careful. And its shitty, and I'm sorry it happened to ya, but you really have to think hard about getting a proper hood latching system of some sort. Either hood pins or figure out how to get the latch working again. Good luck!
