I see you have those braided hose sleeves. How difficult are those to install? I've never looked into them, to be honest, but I've seen them at random parts stores. Seems to really clean up the bay.

Just saw this. Just wanted to clarify that I don't use those braided hose sleeves anywhere. I have a -8 bung welded to my valve cover and use real -8 braided line/fittings to my catch cant and to the intake pipe.

Beautiful work, very good attention to detail

Ok, gotta ask. How do you guys not paint the letters? Do you paint then quickly wipe them off? Tape them up before paint? Which is easier?

When I had my intake powder coated I took a little grinding wheel to the letters. Then used a polishing wheel for the shine :thumb: . should be the same concept with paint ;)

You can also when using spraypaint, use some chapstick on the letters and peel it later.

i just took some sandpaper and held it on a flat block about 3" wide by 6" long and ran it back and forth on the letters until all the paint was off. very easy to do. then i sprayed the clear coat after sanding the letters to give it that shine.

That's good work man. I like how you were smart enough to make the spots on the COP plate and valve cover match.

So where did you be that spark plug cover? Is it something custom made from a Benz part¿

Friend of mine did this for me, midnite blue with metallic flake clearcoat.
Hand sanded all the letters and polished them as well.
A little more sparkly than id like but im not complaining for how much he charged
