Hey guys, I really need some help finding out what exhaust Manifold would spool a T3 flange turbo the fastest..? I was thinking of going with the

Megan Racing T3 turbo Mani ..

any help would be a great help

ps. I really wanna stay away from the FP Mani, I love cast Iron but not a fan of them LOL

thx guys

DAVID

I love the manifolds and other products from Punishment Racing I love them and will probably always run them. I had my fair share with ebay and other brands I won't name because there's always good and bad. But I always will enjoy the great qaulity from punishment racing, pricey but that's to go with qaulity.

Fp manifolds are cast dsm flange. ERL t3 manifolds are really nice. MAP carries ERL manifolds.

I've heard less than complimentary things about the megan manifolds. Most of those I've found in these forums, lots of cracked manifolds from my recollection. Search around here, there is lots of these accounts. Even though you are not a fan of the FP, ive heard nothing but good about those.

does anybody know where i can find this exhaust Manifold!! or other ones with the same goldish polisged look? this would be a great help, there not that easy to find LOL

thx guys.

The only manifolds I would ever run are FP or ERL. Why because they are cast and the odds of them cracking is slim to none and you won't have to worry about that repair.

That is polished stainless steel. MAP sells something very similar to that manifold along with punishment.

Cast cracks too. I had an FP that cracked, and bought a used one that was cracked, both running 16Gs (I have pictures). The cast stock ones are also prone to cracking.

I never said they didn't, but the odds of it happening are far far less. I've personally only seen stockers crack.

huh?
It starts off as polished steel then turns gold from the heat of running the car. When you buy them new they dont come gold.

Does anybody know what this heat cycle is called?
and where i cqn buy these kind of minifolds?

heat cylce meaning, it was put on, car was driven till it got to operating temps, then cooled down, then driven again, then cooled down, etc. that's the color it starts to turn after being several hundreds of degrees.

The heat cycle is from running the engine. Be careful not to touch it before you run it though ### grease and finger prints will be permanent until you polish it .

Any tubular manifold, megan, punishment, jm fabrications, full race. They all sell the goldish manifold you are looking for. The manifold turns gold because of the heat cycle it goes through. These manifolds are made of stainless or mild steel. When they get hot, over time they will turn gold.

Toxic Fabrications can make you a custom T3 manifold. That guys work is second to none. I haven't heard 1 bad review about his products. He makes stock flanged Evo manifolds so I'm sure he could make a manifold for a DSM. But then again, its gonna cost you 900 bucks. So do you really want the best or something that would work for your setup?

It looks like a DNP
DSM T3/T4 MANIFOLD WITH 44mm WASTEGATE FLANGE, DN PERFORMANCE

It start off chrome but with use (heat cycles)it will turn copper like and then kinda purple/blue .Then eventually dark in color.(black)

Oh hell.. :ohdamn:

-The manifold is polished stainless steel.
-Turbo manifolds are subject to a LOT of heat.
-Polished stainless steel will turn this color after getting hot and cooling off (heat cycles).

If all you want is a shiny, polished ricer manifold, any $85 ebay unit will do the trick for you. It will turn gold after a day or two of driving.

Yep, and if you keep driving it without polishing it often it will eventually turn dark dark brown and start to lightly rust. That gold color is from the chromium and nickle being "cooked" out of the metal.
