Got the gsx tuned today... It didnt turn out like I wanted but its fine for now. It made 330awhp on a mustang dyno at 24.5 psi. Emery at stm did a good job and was cool as $hit about everything. But the car still has its issues that will be figured out. The main problem im having now and has happened a few times, is when I boost the car the wastegate opens and sometimes it closes and sometimes it stays open...

Yea its alittle discouraging since people seem to say my car should see 400+hp :notgood:
Im going to try to get a new wastegate actuator. Im not sure why its so low but ill try to take a log tomarrow.

Well...a stock evo makes about 210 on our dyno so id say youre doing pretty good. If you want numbers you picked the wrong dyno to get tuned on LOL.

Other than the boost problem the car seemed pretty decent, you guys did rather well getting it back together. It's clearly a wastegate problem as it did the same thing without the boost controller hooked up, it may just need an actuator or that housing is just too damn small.

How'd it feel out on the street?

A Dynojet would probably give you the 400+. ;)

I've heard the Mustang dyno referred to "the heartbreaker" at times because the readings tend to be more accurate; and thus lower.

However, sounds like you have some issues at hand... but I wouldn't be discouraged! Your best bet is to track the car and see what it does rather than focus on the ever fluctuating dyno numbers.

you are probably seeing boost spike. your flapper is being blown open on the wastegate.

Its still very fast. but i did notice the wastegate problem. The flapper gets stuck open when u hit it and the boost wont rise. I think its getting caught on the gasket so im going to take it apart and see whats up.. Even with the issues the car has, You guys did an extremly good good tuning the car. Im definitly going to get a few things situated and have emery retune it for me :thumb: Thank again.

Being your on a hx35 you did pretty good still. The .55 bep housing is a little more restirctive then the t3/t4 housing they have out for the hx series turbos, and you would see alot better numbers going that route. But even still a little more love you should get your numbers but becarefull I see you have a stock block if I am not mistaked so your still in the greed whp wise. Also oviously if you ditch the piss pump gas for race gas or E85 it will be a breeze. Just going over your profile some more as I type this I see your internal gated, I have seen jusxm141 make some nice ones, but I would switch external and have some better boost control.

Put a blow gun in the vacuum line going to the wastegate actuator, apply air pressure and watch to make sure there are no obstructions in the travel of the arm....i really dont think thats your problem but wont hurt to rule it out.
