Hello friends ! I need your help...

I'm planning on upgrading my car and and my target is aprox 300whp. It's basically a STOCK.

I will buy some parts and I'm thinking about this setup:

How my car is today
- 1g BOV
- Hard LICP and UICP
- Stock SMIC
- Injen Intake & K&N FIPK
- Rewired Stock Fuel Pump
- Running 12 PSI (No BCS restriction)
- Manual Boost Controller

Parts I already have but are not installed yet
- Rebuilt 14B Turbo
- AEM Wideband / Autometer Boost Gauge

Parts I will buy:
- EVO Fuel Pump (used)
- Denso/FIC 650/660cc (used)
- ECM Link
- 3' Exhaust

Since I'm planning on getting the less expensive option, the question is:
Do you think I Will regret getting these and later need to upgrade to Walbro 255, bigger injectors and a 16G + ?

Buying the lesser Pump and Injectors will make a FPR not necessary and I'll save some money on the short run.

Also, would a Walbro 255 + FPR + 1100cc be overkill to my setup or will it make me room to grow in the future ?

Thanks !

I would think the injectors, walbro and for would be overkill for stock, but if u have that fuel system its set for anything up to about 450-500, depending on boost. If u can tune it they should be fine but u won't be using much of them in the 300 hp range. Be a good daily!

Its up to you honestly, I wouldn't go 1100cc because most injectors over 1000cc end up having trouble getting the idle tuned in just right.

Honestly it just leaves more room for growth and atleast you know your not putting a huge strain on the different parts.

Im running a 255hp , afpr, and 850cc injectors but I only plan to run a e316g for now. It gets annoying having to buy and resell over and over but if you want to save money now stay with your set up so you don't need another 150$ on a AFPR

You are a good 4 hour drive away.

What are your plans for the car.(drag, autocross, street)

Oh, It will be a Street / Autocross car.

If you're getting Link, you might as well get some bigger injectors so you aren't upgrading them again so soon.

Thanks guys.

One thing I forgot to mention is that I will change my Stock T-25 for the 14B so, along with the new turbo I will have to upgrade my fuel System;

I think I'll go on a lesser setup for now:

- 190 pump (used)
- 660cc injectors (used)
- *NO* FPR
- ECM Link

Is there any problem in buying the injectors and pump used ?
Also, will I achieve 300whp with the 14B and this setup or I'll need a 16G ?

Again, thanks !

Ok so get a a walbro 255 don't worry about afpr your a gst and will be fine and don't argue about it anyone else reading this thread.Just get 1000cc injectors and ecmlink. You won't get 300whp on that 14b unless you max max max it out like race gas or E85 if that.If you want 300whp get a big 16g.That's about it really moding these cars are easier then it seems just everyone has there own opinion but in the long run it's simple as what I just posted to get for your car.

Whats the reasoning behind not needing an AFPR, I know people have run a 255 without it. But what does having to be a GST have to do with it? Just curious as to why.

Also OP

Are you planning on doing any engine work? Cams, port, ETC? If not then you will need a bigger turbo, also from what I have heard us FWD won't really need anything more than an act 2100 due to the fact that we break traction like its nothing. The torque won't actually catch up to the capacity and its good for 412 ft/lb as per ACT's website.

Good thrifty setup keeping the 190 pump so no need for the afpr. I would add that you might want to port that exhaust manifold and o2 housing. Additionally the wastegate flapper since you will be getting an AM exhaust

Im currently building for 300hp as well, and based on what ive read on this site, you WILL want a 16g or like someone else said, you'll be maxing that 14b and probably replacing it sooner than later. You will will also def want to port that waste gate housing or plan on seeing 8-10+lbs of boost creep at 10lbs, i couldnt control my boost at all until i did this, and im still getting creep but only to around 15lbs instead of 20+. I also read that 300hp on a 190 is kinda tight too, when it comes to fuel better to have to much then too little. 1100cc is waaaayyy overkill 650's should be fine.
