my gst has a few mods , i took it for a spin after placing the p/S belt on havent really gave it gas but today i did and WTH as soon as i hit secong gear the torq steer is horrible, if i would of gone into 3rd i would of lost it . ive owned eclipse before but this one is out of control is this normal with a bigger turbo,:confused: is ther something i can do to reduce or stop this??
 
Well I know for a fact fwd have torque steer really bad and fwd dsm's don't have equal length half shafts.
I would also like to know how this is fixed. My buddy has a caliber srt4 and it's insane almost undriveable at WOT.

i had a 97 gst and it dint drive like this .. it pulled left hard but when it started pulling right then left it was a mess i was expecting torq steer but this car was all over the place wich sucks because i want to gas it but the car cant handle it ,,,ANY IDEAS if theres something that can reduce it i was thinking bushings or something i already got the drop enginering motor mounts on order:banghead:
 
Maybe LSD? I think the 97's had LSD. That should help a lot I think. Lets let other dsm'rs chime in and see what they say.

yeah the previouse owner works at a speed shop and said that ther is a LSD tranny in it already, i belive him since he showed me all the receipts for all the other upgrades, yeah hopefully some one has some input here so i can keep it as straight as possible :hellyeah:
 
Convert to AWD equal length shafts. Good luck finding the correct drivers side seal though. I'm betting a custom shim would have to be made. Years ago a seal did exist but I haven't heard of it in forever. You couldn't do it at all in a 93-94 car.
 
Is your suspension in decent shape?

I ran my old 90 at 20psi and never had any issues.

im looing into putting a all new set of bushings in think that would help, i looked online for some half shaft an axles from a 90 gsx for my gst and they dint look any difrent. but if that helps also i might do that too i just dont want to order them and have it be the same :hellyeah:
