It also depends on when you get to the terminal though too, like if you show up during Lunch hour or rush hour traffic, there is at least an hour wait to get on the island.

there was a bomb threat called in on the ferry yesterday that was the an hr wait.. usually you can get right on unless there is a line. you can check the ferry cams on their website. my dsm is still in the shop til the 4th, i dont want all you dsmers commin up here if i cant attend hahaha hey ricky, how are you keepin that carbon hood on there with no hood pins??? i just bought some but im dreading having to drill in my brand new carbon creations hood... sugguestions? stealthy pins? what you got goin on
mukilteo ferry takes 15 mins to cross btw.. and there is a ferry every half hour
your gonna sell your GSX? damn that thing is cherry.. sad story, was your percision turbo a journal bearing? i heard they blow pretty easy... i have a percision ballbearing and they are supposed to be much better, havent had a problem yet.
and how much you want for those evo rims on your dsm i got stock black GSX rims ill trade you plus cash (i want my tires though haah)
It'll all come down to which car I feel like modding, getting the GSX to make good power really wouldn't take much. A new turbo and tune and it'd be making 10 second times easily. But i've had this car under the knife for so many years i'm really considering a whole new car; perhaps a starion/conquest or even a 1g. I was running an older style precision ball bearing turbo. It was so old I don't even remember the exact turbo model. However, after doing some current research I am really fond of the FP turbos, the quality of their work as well as their customer service cannot be beaten when it comes to such work.
As for my BBS wheels, I was going to run some Volk VS-XX on my DSM but i've decided not to because I don't want to have any issues with fender lips as I have enough in the Evo. In that case I was going to sell the BBS and pick up a second set of winter wheels, but I have found that to be useless as my GSX sits in a garage with a cover on it all year long.
If I do decide to keep it i'm going to use an FP 3065 wth FP3 cams, go to bigger injectors and see what I can do on pump. As for this racing season i'm going to try and run some good times with the 16g.
As for you whidbey guys, if I am not able to get into your area before the upcoming meet I am Ricky you guys are welcome to come down and check it out. It's posted in the general PNW thread. We're expecting it to be a pretty large meet.
You would have to take the ferry from Mukilteo over to the island and while you would be near Urban because he lives on the south side of the island, I'm an hour north of him. On top of that, you will probably spend an hour or two just waiting to get on the ferry, going to the island.
You could always drive around, it would take the same amount of time to get to the same spot, maybe a little more or a little less than the ferry if you happen to make the ferry at the right time, but it can be a gamble. So I never take the Ferry when I leave the island, plus I'm too far north for the Ferry to even be worth my time when Deception Pass is only 10minutes away.
What do you mean? Why would i Need pins?
cause i hear alot of people saying the hood can fly up and smash your wind sheild... do you have any issues in access of 100 MPH? what brnad is it? and are you just using the factory hood latch?
Oh my hood is black not cf. it's ry hood that weighs nearly 100000lbs. I had a seibon but realized I really don't like cf, my intentions were to paint my hood red but that hasn't happened yet.
ahhh so you WOULD put pins in then if you did have a CF hood?
Yes. I actually like the look and the function. The cool look are the push pins. Those look awesome.
Oh probably one of the few 1Gs I've seen.
I'll be installing new headlights on the Wagon here shortly.
Instead of doin my brembo swap this weekend i ended up cracking a rim on a large pot hole. Had to order a new rim and buy all four tires, needless to say i went with a bigger tire and got rid of some of my negative camber up front. The stance may not be quite as perfect as it was before but it is still lookin pretty good and has way more function so its probably a good thing. The brembo swap has been rescheduled for this weekend. Anyone want to meet up before the boss meet and get to know a few people that are wanting to make the drive down. If anyone is interested let me know.
yeah im interested after i get my car back, not sure when that will be, sucks about your rim. i just got lowered on Eibach pro kit and im worrief about my negative camber, but i got the STM camber kit for the rear (bolt and washers) you know anyting about how to get a perfect alignment? it was only a 1.3 inch drop so the website says so im not sure if ill even need it, but i got it just incase.
Just get the rear close for camber. With a prokit you dont need to worry about front camber. i had about -3 or more in front and really didnt notice horrible wear, just get your toe zero'd and your set. Rotate your tires and you wont have any problems, the camber is good for handling anyway.
QUOTE=urbansmoker1;152870615]zero toe in front and back correct? i thnk its zero toe in the front to spec, but yeah i just got new prosex 4's and im not trying to wear the hell out of them what kit do you have for the rears? your stance looks so good! as i said i got the STM camber kit which is bolt and washers. i think i only need 4 washers on the upper control arm in the rear to correct it. but i guess ill still need alignment.
