I picked up a Evo8/9 MAS but wondering which intake pipe I could use to connect to the MAS 2G's are Oval, I have read some guys get a 3-4 inch coupler but with a stock plastic pigtail how would it work? Could I use a 1G aftermarket stainless pipe say from extremepsi? or can I mod it somehow to work??

Damn, didn't even know Evo MAF's were 3".
Any coupler reducer will work fine, of course with a 2g pipe.
Unless you get STM's 3" $150 pipe....that's a different story.

Running a E316G, stock 2g intake right now So, I should get something that can connect to the MAS and then I could cut the oval piece of my stock intake and make it more circular so I could attach it?

Any pipe with a 3" inlet at the MAS.

I run an evo MAS and the actual measurement for the MAS outlet is 3.125 inches (3 1/8 inches). It's a bit larger than 3 inches. I actually had to get a 3.125 inch coupler because I couldn't fit the 3 inch over the outlet of the MAS.

Like Jus said, the stock 1g snorkel will work, it is also 3.125 inches in diameter. I am running a dejon intake that is 3 inches and enlargers at the mouth to mate with the 1g/evo MAS 3.125 outlet. Notice how the coupler is a bit larger than the intake pipe, and how the inlet of the intake pipe tapers out to mate with the 3.125 inch end.

I haven't seen anyone chop up or cut the 2g snorkel intake to fit a 1g/3g/evo MAS. This might work, but I dont have a 2g intake to see and take measurements.

That dejon pipe looks perfect except the recirc tube is all the way at the bottom, guess I ll run that and just get an extended hose for it ay

First one, with recirc tube option, do I need the VCV CC tubes as well, and it says its only 2.75 for all mitsu does that mean for turbo being used?

If you're going to buy a Dejon piece why not buy the 2g one for the Evo specifically?

You need the VCV/CC if you still have those on your car. Worse comes to worse, you can just buy fittings and make them yourself after buying the standard version.

^^^OMG I am such a new. Thanks I will pick that up

Last Question.. Should I be ordering the 3" pipe than or the 2.75".?/

You should be ok with the 2.75 inch as it comes with the couplers and clamps included also, like above post he says the ends enlarge for you to run it with the EVO MAS.
