but aluminum rods are not really recomended for daily driving ..well thats what i heard
MAP have the lowest rates I have came across for Pauter rods. I spoke to Pauter today and although no one list 156mm Pauter rods it is always an option. It just has to be requested and will take like 5-6 weeks to make.I have a set of Pauter 156mm rods in my 6 bolt, but they were ordered through Magnus Motorsports. I don't see Pauters on his site anymore, and Pauter's own website only lists 150mm rods. However here's a link to Magnus' site that has 6 bolt long rods. Magnus Motorsports Engines and Internals |
You heard correct. They are not intended for a street car AT ALL. Some people will say it depends on your tune yada, yada, yada, etc. Bullshit!! From every aluminum rod manufactured I have spoken to this week they are not meant to be ran on the street and will wear fast. It comes down to if you think the very small performance gains are worth that wear and extra maintenance .but aluminum rods are not really recomended for daily driving ..well thats what i heard
If it's a street car one should go with the R&R Steel rods. Problem is they are not cheap. In fact they are are the most expensive rods on the market !!R&R makes them, and are less than the Pauter as well as lighter. We can get them in 21mm and 22mm (recommended) for 6 bolt in any length.
