So have had my had my boost controller for several years now and I could never get this thing to work. So you can imagine being stuck at 10psi could be quite frustrating on a 14b:sosad:. I was going to buy a new one in a few days. Now this is a turbonetics mbc.. the instructions only come with how to hook it up to a external waste gate:hmm:. I was going to re-install the factory bcs controls because at least then I could hit 15psi:aha:i. So I figured I would give the mbc one last chance:banghead: and I hooked it up according to factory specs how the bcs was presented. What do you know the "sob" worked and now I can set boost:ohdamn:.. And now I see why everyone was So impressed by the with the mods I currently have on my car on there setups. :sneaky: I must say I am rather happy :thumb::hellyeah:

WTFWHY THE HELL DIDN'T I THINK OF THIS SOONER:toobad:

Trust me I have been wanting to Throw this thing at the wall. And Now I don't have to it is a tricky SOB though. Even with everything hooked up working I still don't understand how the damn thing works. But it was free and I have come to the conclusion it was some cruel joke not to give directions with an internal gate.

How is the hookup to an internal gate different than an external?
It's not..

I'm lost at this post, sounds like the original boost controller you had wasn't working properly.

This better dictates how its different.

As you see on the picture the vacuum source on here is on top of the wg. So this had to be changed and plugged into the intake track. Or how ever the the original bcs setup is desgined

I could run 20lbs on my homedepot built boost controller with my 14b, i'm still at a loss for why you couldn't.

I was HAPPY The difference is quite amazing I was playing with it tonight. I had it hooked up like a normal boost controller would be boost source to w/g when I did this it would only run 10 psi not matter how much I turned it up Now its at 14psi. I'll turn it up a little more tomorrow to 15 or 16. I'm still using stock injectors but I haven't felt power like that in my car in a longggg... time, And strangely no boost creep. holds 14 all the way to red line.

Can someone explain how it works? Why does it connect back into the intake track? When I hooked it up to the boost source and and gate it wouldn't turn up the boost no matter how much I turned it up.

Well after reading about both styles of mbc's i still am not sure exactly how the turbonetics one works. It has a spring like the Joe and hallman do but it not a ball at then end it's more like a disc. But the way they described the bleeder style that it vents to atmosphere. This one does not entirely its back into the intake track. Assuming that's where the excess pressure goes. But it does seem that a lot of people have had issues hooking up this mbc from what I saw.
