So I paid this guy to do my valve cover, comp cover, and oil cap. I got all this done for 70 bucks. Im very happy with the way it turned out. Let me know what you think. I was his second customer and was reluctant but he stepped up and did well. He is very good to work with.

Yea that does look good especially for that price. I been wanting to get mine done for a while, i might have to look him up.

Did he also media blast the valve cover? If so, and you have the baffles still in, this could cause issues later.

I agree with this, if they were left in it is strongly recommended that you take them out and clean everything real good.

On a side note, you got a killer deal!

What kind of issues? I would have to weld them back in?

Other than that. He did a great job.
You get the media stuck in the valve cover and then it gets ran through your system. Make sure you rinse the VC until nothing comes out anymore; if anything even does.

Issues with media being stuck and potentially releasing into your engine later on. If you've ever seen pictures of the baffle removed, there's usually a good bit of cooked oil underneath it. The media particles can get stuck in this and then release if the oil softens up enough because of the heat. The best way to do this would be to remove them (drill out spot welds), clean it all up (preferably using media, but would be best to be done by hand now since it's already coated), and then purchase an aluminum baffle from greengoblin and have it welded back in. The one you pull out is steel and would not go back in very easily/nicely.

wow wow settle down guys. I am the one who powdercoated the vc and housing. Im located in South Dakota not pittsburg also btw. The valvecover was not media blasted because it came to me stripped already. I did spend alot of time sanding and touching up until i thought it was perfect. I then pre baked and wiped with alchohol as an extra measure to make sure it was clean. Im really glad jpmxrider was soo pleased with his valvecover, i also think it turned out really good. Also did he mention the $70 included shipping ;) I would love to do more valvecovers and parts if you guys are interested. I really enjoy doing this and thats why i do it soo cheap. I have been doing alot of parts for the local performance machine shop in town and they have always been very pleased as well. Send the parts guys, my prices are cheap, quality is good, and turn around time is faster than anyone. Email me at [email protected] if interested

yep, sure did. The clear actually brought the shine of the chrome down a little imo but its necessary. Eastwood now has single stage chrome that doesnt need clear that id like to try soon. The letters are gashed up pretty good from what im assuming was a grinder.

I'm very happy with the way it turned out. I saw a thread on here where he drilled and tapped the stock vent on the left of the vc to the intake. And then put a thread in an fitting on it. What you guys think?

Does anyone know if they make this fitting in 8an. I have a bunch of -8 hose laying around. Im going to contact STM tomorow and see if they come up with anything. I think this would be alot easier than paying somebody to weld and its less risky for drilling. So if anyone has a link to a 8an adapter like the one above.:thumb:
