i am going to be getting some new spark plug wires. I want to know which wire sets you all recommened and if I should get 8.5mm or 10mm?:hmm: Thanks for the help!!:D

NGK all the way!Japanese parts for a japanese car.:thumb:

NGK wires are always a good choice i believe they are 8.5

with some ngk br7es of course

Fixed for you

Are msd's any good:confused:

Stick with what our cars are designed around. Literally. Mitsubishi designed our ignition systems around NGK components. If you venture outside of that, you'll be sorry.

The only other wires that people would recommend are magnacores, but you're paying 2x the money for wires that won't get you anything extra over NGK's.

Magnecore,s and i'll add to it in contrast to what's said two posts above.. My magnecores have performed flawlessly for 10 YEARS, that's long damn time, only this year for the first time have i EVER seen a deterioration in them and that was the seal of the boot to wire at the coil end of thm that coveres the tips of the coil pack, i had some arcing to a SS braided line from my AFPR that was running right up against that area.. Added a dab of silicone to the boot to plug junctions and it's gone, they Ohm out perfect stil (magnecores are rather high resistance wires but most people think that's bad not knowing all they should know about wires)

I've ran accells but they would go bad almost weekly as far as not transmitting spark, i'd get blowout, think it was plugs, gap em down, get new ones and end up replacing the wires to solve it.. after 3 straight sets of accell wires iwon't own another set. The NGk's are great i hear from many around me, although they look puney, they get the job done i guess for most.

Just so YOU know. these cars aren't Japanese. They are American, the motors are Japanese. I been in Japan for 2 years and have only seen one 2G and one 1g.
:ohdamn:

I was more refering to the japanese motor in the car that takes the japanese spark plug, not much about the shell.:p Was more of a saying like you don't go fishing with gummy worms you go fishing with real worms to catch a fish.

I had 2 sets of the NGK's, both sets went bad within a year, i now use Accel thundersports 8mm, after 4 years now im still on the same set, my opinion there better and ohm ratings are lower, personally tested.

Where is your noise filter installed on your engine? Not having it where it needs to be (on the intake manifold) can cause ignition failure-like issues.

How did you measure the impedance of the wires exactly?
