So just posting some pictures of the center tail lights that I modded. Them me what you think I have thick skin. I used led light strips to light it up.
First one day time.

Ok thick skin, those are sweet! It looks very nicely done. I really like the 420a sticker to the right too. It looks like it belongs there. I bet a lot of people ask you what a 420a is!

Also, I like the first ones better. I like the outline in the middle. More fancier!

You had me at clear taillights :p :D Looks really good, both the rare clear tails and the custom centerpiece. I like the first one a bit more (night time) though simply because it looks cleaner. Although I think you mixed the pics, the day time for the 1rst day should go with the 2nd night time by the looks of the it.

How do you get the led strips wired for lighting the center tail?

I opened up the center tail light by heating the glue and then lined it up center and mounted. I wired into the license plate light wire to turn them on.

Yea, how are you able to light up just the letters?

Once I split the plastics I removed the inner silver paint. I then coverd the letters with frog tape a little sand, primer, paint, and clear it was all done.

I had to paint the letters in the first one to get the outline and the second one had no paint on the letters letting the light though. Thank you guy for the comments many many hours of work in the two. I messed the first one up 3 times due to being in a hurry. If any one want more pictures ill post them of all the steps to do it really pretty easy.

You wired into the license plate wire to make them work..That's pretty easy...I was thinking about mounting an led pad kinda thing to the back of the housing..

Looks great tho..

I want to make my Eclipse like that! Where did you get the clear tail lights from?

Haha what up will I know I saw you messing with your car out side your house
Text me again I broke my old iPhone again
I need to ask you something

think you can show steps on how to do it id love to do this mod bro, would greatly appreciate it.thank you;)

ok this is just sick! this had actually crossed my mind in doing this to my 1g but i didn't quite know how i was gonna do it or if it was even possible. i was just gonna light it up and not put letters in it. but now that you have, a whole bunch of ideas are floating around!! thank you for doing this! and as said before a step by step with pics would be awesome!

There are a set of those clear tails on eBay right now. Its the complete set with the center piece for $350! Can you say Turbo upgrades? For $350 I could buy a nice 16g.

A rebuilt one maybe, definitely not a new one. Either way, that's the price you pay to get a rare piece. I love my set and I absolutely see why no one would want to part ways with one (hence the price).

That looks really good.

The only thing I would try to do is get the lights to evenly light the word ECLIPSE. You can see in the picture that is further away that there are bright and dark spots in the letters.

Either way, definitely looks good.

That looks sick either way! I like the way the first looks at night better, but I like the second better in the day light because you can still read the "ECLIPSE."
