Hey guys i have a 1995 GST. Dont plan on any major mods just some bolt ons. I have a 3'' apexi turboback, k&n filter, manual boost control, and a 14b turbo. I bought the car wih a OBXR FMIC not installed. But it has no piping to go along with it. Cant find the piping for it and i dont want to custom do it. Its a very big frount mount. I dont know if it would be worth putting in. I need some advice from you guys. Cant find piping anywhere if someone knows can you post a link for it. or yet a better/ cheaper full setup. (im on a tight budget) thanks DSM:hellyeah:

I wouldn't even put a front mount on a 14b.

You may want to contact OBX or one of their vendors to see if they can provide a piping kit. Otherwise you may just have to buy a universal piping kit and cut it up yourself.

Nothing wrong with fmic on a 14b it sure helped mine out, I noticed a difference when putting it on after runing on the stock smic.Sure a little more lag but nothing that won't hurt, but your right its not totally necassary just my .02 cents.

Take it to a Muffler shop, have them Fab up the piping, since most shops use Mandrel bends, and it'll come out cheaper, and exactly how you want it, most can even bead the ends to prevent coupler slippage.

what he said. just mock it up with the center section of the paper towels, you know when you run out of paper towels, LOL you're going to need a few of them. but mount the intercooler first so you know how to route the pipes. should be a fun project

What I think im going to do is Just run the sock setup but buy aftermarket piping for it and switch to a short ram. What would be some good modifications for running a 14b on stock intercooler? And what could i sell my OBXR FMIC for?

i bought all ebay piping and used a hacksaw to cut to my liking your can get a ebay kit comes with everything what ever size you perfer super easy

cxracing sells decent intercooler piping for a lower budget. just decide how you want to route it, straight down past your thermostat housing or through the stock smic intercooler hole. you may need to bend the cx racing pipes if you ever decide to go with those. couple of my friends have those and never had a problem and they come beaded so no coupler slippage.

also keep in mind depending on which route and size diameter piping you go with you may need to modify/cut your bumper cover back a little so it fits right.

If its a big core like u said you'll probably notice some lag

I would reccomend the CXRacing piping kit. It's not to expensive and it a short route reducing how much you need to trim the number support.

When you put the 14b on, did you need to correct the intercooler piping to shift over to the jpipe that is need for 14b style turbos? Either way fabbing up your own IC piping is the only way to go. You got stock throttle body/ TB elbow? might want to think about getting piping fabbed so you dont need that elbow anymore. Looks cleaner IMO
