Ok so i put a brand new head, arp studs in my 6 bolt talon.. put all new pulleys belts new tensioner and all gaskets.. i went to take it for a rip and it does not pull at all!!! it holds 15psi doesn't fall off. but it doesn't want to rev over 6k and barely has any power. i played around with the cam position sensor thinkin maybe the timing is a little off but got no where.as far as the car being in time its 100% perfect i know i'm not off a tooth. i can't imagine its a boost problem i really didnt take anyting apart as far as having a boost problem like i said it holds solid 15psi. are those cam angle sensors that touchy that i need to get a timing light? could that be the issue? help me out if you had this problem.. thanks

Yes you need to set your ignition timing. If you have a chiltons or any manual it should show you details on how to do it. There is usually a plug on the firewall you have to ground to keep the timing locked while you adjust it with the cas.

it doesn't pull hard. like it said it doesn't have maximum power. however it does consistantly pull clean up to six. then its like it just ran out of gear or doesn't have the power to go any more, plus i have a weird vibrating noise from the timing belt sounds like a rattle at about 2200 rpm sounds like the timing cover but i took it off to see and thats not it.. i don't know if that could be the culprate. i'm gonna tear back into it take the belt off and try again. i've done it twice already still getting the same problem. and the timing marks are set right. i know they are

I know this is an old post but did you get this fixed? my car has the same problem I have changed my cas many times. I have no boost leaks and a very small leak on throttle body on a sensor but it should not effect it like it is.i was in a front end wrecka few weeks ago checked all piping and no leaks, I am running extreamly rich like the car is making up for too much air. but no real power. my down pipe was glowing red the other day and I thought my catalac converter was clogged so I put a new exhaust on and it still has no power. it is all most like the car is a n/a. and still not even enough power to be an n/a. any help would be very much appreciated because i am running pout of ideas. btw no mods except walbro 190 and an emissions delete.

Thank you I was thinking that, i am getting ready to put a new water pump, oil pump and 3g lifters springs and retainers. The guy i had gotten it from told me the head was "fresh" after pulling the valve cover off it has never been taken off or messed with so. i have to weld a new radiator/headlight support so I might as well pull the motor too and mess with it all. Just wanted to be sure before I couldnt test anything once it is out
