That time of year is here again and I think I did a pretty good job from what I can tell. This year my baby girl (daughter) got some DSM goodies. A little background first – when she graduated from high school we bought her a 07 BMW. She didn’t seem all that excited. When I asked her why she stated that she was REALLY attached to her FWD Auto DSM GST. I was shocked but impressed at the same time. Soooo we sold the BMW and for Christmas I bought her the following goodies –

I built her a forged bottom end 2.0 (Eagle rods, Wiesco pistons)
JAM Stage II head
HKS 264 cams
ARP Studs for the Block and head
Precision 5557R BB turbo
Turbonetics manifold
Tial 38mm Wastegate
HKS bov
Precision 850 injectors
Meth kit
ETS front mount intercooler
IPT trans and convertor
25-shot of N2O
340 FP w/ MAPerformance regulator kit
DSM link (Full version)
Urethane mounts (Custom front bracket we made)

We have put motor and trans in the car and plan to put her current big 16g on it for now and let her get used to it with more boost and traction then put the 5557 back on it. You can see the 5557 in the pictures of the engine on the stand. The guys at MAPerformance (Thanks Harry) have been very helpful in all of this as has been my bro and DSM Guru Lenny as I am an LS1 guy. Jesse Abel has also been a great help and always friendly in answering any questions I have had. I appreciate it and the DSMTuners community for the knowledge and friendliness I have found here. All of this has helped me make this Christmas a very special one for the only child I have and hopefully set in motion a love for that one special car we all remember from our youth. She has been helping spin wrenches and is learning everyday. Thanks again and MERRY CHRISTMAS!!! :D

That's an awesome gift to give your daughter. I hope at least one of my two little girls will enjoy cars like that (I have a feeling it'll be my youngest if she stays with it, see avatar for her helping finish up a radiator install). Much respect to you and giving your daughter what looks like one of the best Christmas gifts a DSMer could ask for not to mention that father daughter bond. Well done sir well done.

in for pictures of daughter (in the most respectful way possible)

LOL, lotsa funny replies. If I hit the lotto I will let those of you wanting to be adopted know so I can hook a brotha up. :D The car was not ready on Christmas day as she is helping spin wrenches on it so I didn't want Lenny (Bro) doing most of it. She works part time at a parts store and college full time and is working on it with us in her off time. I believe it will help her appreciate it even more and make the sentimental bond with her car just that much stronger. I hope all of you had a Merry Christmas and that Santa was good to ya'll.

As for pictures of her. I will not post any, should she decide to join and do so that is her choice. Just remember to be respectful because she is my baby girl. This is the closest you will get - GRRRR... LOL

I love her very much and am sad that she is growing up so quickly. As a father you always want them to be the same baby girl that they used to be but such is the cycle of life. She is becoming quite the woman though and I couldn't ask for a better daughter. I hope the same for you. It is a bittersweet journey my friend but well worth it. Little girls always hold a special place in their daddy's heart and as such led me to a new found respect for women that I don't think I had before. Merry Christmas and good luck to you and yours. :D

young girl + lots of hp is a bad combo

keep that boost turned way down

Wow looks like shes going to have a well built car. Are you sticking with the auto? If so, any plans on doing some work to it? My dsm is auto and I like hearing others plans, as I've got a lot of ideas for mine.

We have been there and done that.

Yes, she is sticking with the auto. It is from IPT trans. Once she gets some break in miles on it we will be putting either the 5557R or the HY35 on it with the EPT intercooler and a 3-inch exhaust. I already have a set of drag radials for it as well. I plan to post up results as we take it to the track. :sneaky:
