Any update's with your 6262's guys?

I haven't made any changes lately, hopefully it stops raining this week. I wanted to take the car out this week and up the boost a little, tweak the tune, and see what I could come up with.

It's been 2 weeks since the last post.. Any progress guys?

Usually when there is no response nine times out of ten this is the results of dissapointments. :boring:

I have a dual ceramic ball bearing 6262SP turbo in T3 0.82 A/R hot side. At 30psi a see around 60lb/min. In couple of weeks I will be dyno my car at different boost settings up to 40psi. Dyno numbers will give me a better idea about airflow. With speed density it can be tricky to get accurate airflow numbers, with MAF it would be more accurate. I m running on speed density. 30psi I see around 5k rpm.

PTE tech support claim this turbo is capable of flowing 70+lb/min. Also, this turbo is fully rebuildable meaning pte can replace parts within the center cartridge which should cost a lot less than replacing a Garrett center cartridge.

Have you made it to dyno yet? I am curious to see what kind of numbers you are making with the 60lbs/min. Can you post a WOT log. Thanks:cool:

Been meaning to up the boost and see what more I can push out. Just popped an intercooler pipe two nights ago and fixed that.

Been 2 mores weeks, anything new yet... ? (LOL)

I actually just filled the car up on some old 93 octane. I wanted to drive it around a little more lately and the E85 was getting annoying. I'll probably be on pump for a few tanks. I'm going to try to dial in the car and do some tuning tonight so I should have some pump gas numbers for you.

Nice. Seems like everyone is doing so much crazy stuff with fuel these days. What happened to the straight 93 octane days.... LOL

im running a 6262 .83 hotside t3 turbo and have made 539hp and 444lbs of torque at 30psi on 93oct. love this turbo and spools just fine for its size.

no meth, 16-17 peak timming at 7500-8k with 10.5-11.3 a/f's. ill find my old dyno sheet and take a pic. on one of my trips to the dyno car layed down 500hp at 5300rpm and held flat till 8k. i think the peak was 517hp or so, and my last trip to the dyno car made about the same power but kept climing to 8k. this was on a dynojet and all pulls were done in 4th gear...my 4th goes to 150mph. car traps 139mph and on a bad day will still trap 136mph...so a 2400lb car with those traps sould be making at least 500hp. here is a pic of the set-up...it isnt the most recent but when i got the car back together 5months ago.

69lbs/min @ 37psi Specs are in my profile and that was pretty well calibrated.

^^^ Looks good Luke!! Nice airflow numbers, she's gotta be putting down some good power with those #'s

Thanks man I hope so! Haven't got it to the track or to the dyno, having some transmission issues but I am going to work with Tim Zimmer aka twicks69 to get the issues worked out.

I am playing with different cams now HKS 272s vs the BC 280s and am getting a larger Drag style manifold and possibly a different throttle body.

Your car looks great too and nice numbers! I would be happy if I clicked off a 10 second pass first trip to the strip :D

Sorry, i did not dyno yet. Car was in a garage for the last two month waiting for race transmission. Now I got Shep stage4 transmission and a new South Bend clutch kit. Hoping to break-in transmission within next couple of weeks and then I will take it to a dyno. Once I get the numbers, I will update this post.

Cool!

According to link I was flowing 74 lb/hr at 40psi with the Dsm hot side and type E cold side dbb and 2.3 strocker. I'm currenttly on a ship and no where near home. But when I get back I'll see if I can get more info up. But I am planing to change out the housings at some point to see if it'll make any real gain.

I know a post a lot in reguards to the 6262 turbo specifically, so... any updates? :p (bolt on housing guys: How are you running your waste gate setups (off the o2 housing or manifold))?

I run a Hafe manifold with 38mm Tial off of the manifold, nothing special.

Been a couple more months.. updates?

I haven't had the car on the road since late October, I broke 4th gear while doing a highway pull. I just got my trans back last week from Jack's, hoping to start putting it tomorrow.

46lbs/min seems piss poor for a modern 62mm turbo at 25psi. Your gonna make about 375whp on 93 with that.

I am running a Dejon Tool FMIC with smaller piping, 2g TB, and 2g I/M. I still don't think it should be that bad. I run the car at low 30's psi now and it is fast, but nowhere near as fast as it should be for the turbo. Compression numbers are fine also.
