hello i am considering trading my 90 eagle talon tsi awd. it has just under 103k runs very good. besides the 20g turbo and royal purple through out the car it is stock. i only paid 250 for the car during the summer and put about 600ish into it.

240SX Trade for Truck or AWD car

ive looked at the car and the body is in some bad shape but engine looks sound everything name brand he says it doesn't run well but some of the inter-cooler boots don't even have clamps so bad boost leaks im asumming that's the problem anyhow.

now knowing this is a dsm forum im assuming that you will swing me toward the talon i am stuck in the middle of each one. the amazing grip of awd or the smoothest sounding straight 6 my ears have ever heard. just looking for opinions thanks guys.

Don't do it, Those RB20 are useless. Expect to pay an arm and a leg for any parts and to make matters worse its not even worth shelling out the cash for the parts. If we were talking RB25det or the almighty 26 then it'll be worth it. Even a SR20det is worth it. Stick with the 4G63 if you ask me

I don't know, sounds tempting as long as neither cars are your daily. If you just want a toy, for what you have in your 90 you couldn't build a swapped 240. Take a look at the car in person. I agree the parts are gonna be stupid high but if you leave it close to stock you shouldn't have any issues, and still have a 240hp rwd toy.

yet another 240sx ruined by a want to be drifter....
if it was bone stock with a ka24 and under 100k miles i would say do it.... i would never by an upgraded 240sx, they get the sh#t beat out of them more then DSMs...
the fact he's calling a LHD 240sx a 180sx tells me he's a ricer.... or if it's really a rare LHD 180sx he's a moron for swapping out the ca18det(or sr20) for a rb20.

it's like gambling on a DSM that's owned by someone who knows nothing, you might be getting a mechanically mint DSM or one that's been beat to hell and back.
"drifters" always want mad tyte JDM 240's so there's little chance of the value dropping, so it might be a good investment, or flip it,

Well my plans are to flip the car I already have a 2g Dsm turbo and a 89 240sx hatch haha the 240 doesn't run but it is bone stock.
The 240 is in ruff shape I did go and look at it the body is bad but interior is good and the engine is good. And if the kid that I'm buying the car from is on here I'm sorry but your not the most mechanically inclined person there are loose clamps on the intercooler couplers some have no clamps at all. I'm asumming that that's the problem.
