I can understand! I've got a 1.5 year old boy and a 3 month old baby girl. It's WORK sometimes...LOL.....

Wow, those pics are awesome....love the full roofed car at the bottom right!

And, here's a few more goodies for the thread, including, a silly rare promo T-shirt for the 1990 Eagle Talon!

The key chain still has the key I used when my car was a street car attached. Then the corresponding pin is still packaged.

The DSMotorsport fuel pump rewire kit is still packaged. I never installed it!

I used the valve stem caps on the Talon when I had my first set of polished aftermarket wheels...they were Brent Rau's American Racing 328's that he had on his Eclipse when it was still a street car.

Awesome stuff Phil. The colors of the T-shirt are late 80's early 90's for sure. I knew you had some great stuff to share. Maybe we can get Nate, Leon and Shep in here. I know they have some contributions for sure.

Lovely ads from '90s :)

[/IMG]

That is what I am talking about! Awesome find for sure. Quality is great.

Going back to the Targas/CTs and the roadster. I have see numerous CT representations. Not sure what the production numbers were. But I have seen almost next to none of the Roadsters. The best I have seen is the following from a Mitsu meet in germany.

The other thing I am throwing up is the Convertible concept cars. The Eclipse was dubbed the GSS(Grand Sport Spyder). Love the DSM badge in front. Suppossedly they had not finalized the front emblem yet. Pic of the Talon Concept attached to.

Awesome stuff up here by all!

Excellent pics Jose!

I've got a shot of the Talon Vert concept in a mag....it's a color shot....I'll see how well my digi cam will shoot it and toss it up here.

It would be nice to see some more OG DSMrs up here as I'm sure they must have some cool stuff hanging around!

Like the other guy said, let's keep this rolling....this is my favorite thread on tuners now!!!!

I'll have to get some pics but I still have the turbo magazine with David, buschur, Shep, and sean glazer. Then do you guys remember the Article that turbo magazine did with dougs Dyno power on the GVR4 build up?

Have several copies of those 3 on the cover. I do remember Doug's vr4 write ups. Good stuff.

And what about the old giant streetposters? ("3/4 Ferrari in 1/4 price" etc.. etc..)

The top 13 DSMs in Feb 99'. Lot of notables on the list. Many still in the game. Of all the DSMs only Buschur's Yellow RWD Tube Chassis was the only non street car. Many had AC, PS, PW, full interior, upgraded stereos with amps and subwoofers!

God I remember all of these mags... My diehard ford guy dad, always bought issues of turbo back in the 90's. I guess I can blame him for my love of these turds.

Does shep still have the red car? What happened to Glazar?

I do have the shot of that billboard in my collection of photos.....I'd like to mount that on top of my house!!! LOL....

Jose, I've got that issue packed away...good run down...if you look at Brent's Eclipse, those are the wheels I bought from him that I had the valve stem caps on. The wheels have since been passed on to a friend.

Shep hasn't had the red car in a long time......I actually worked on the car back in early 2003 when I worked at Extreme Motorsports. I never saw the owner, it was dropped off for work. Needless to say, the car went downhill a bit IMHO with some cheesy things added aesthetically to the car. It was still in very good condition however.

As far as Extreme.....I thought I heard they closed up shop. But, then I heard they still have a website, hell, I'm not sure. I've talked with none of them since I left in May 2003. It wasn't a happy ending.

I don't think I have the "Rocket Full of Miracles" ad....I'll have to seek one out.

How do you know there were 3 different billboards? That's great info!

Somewhere around here I've got a full letter sized brochure of the Diamond Star Motors facility operations. It shows 1g's being assembled on the line, and shows the workers of the DSM plant assembling the cars, etc, would anybody want to see that?

That is a significant contribution to the DSM community. Thank You!

That is killer stuff......quite possibly the best piece of memorabilia I've ever seen!

You said said it brother! Have never ever once seen that.

Agreed! Unreal stuff. Awesome that you started this thread Jose. I'm sure there's lots of people up here unaware. Wanna throw a link to it over on the 14b thread?

And here's my small contribution for today:

I'll try to find the other thread and consolidate, too.

I always remember seeing those advertised in the magazines. Make sure you hang on to a VCR to play them. I think putting a link in the 14b thread would be cool. Alot of us "older" DSM guys frequent that one.

My next contribution is more 4G63 related than DSM related. One of the cool things of being in Japan so long was getting to visit the Mitsubishi Motors Museum in Tokyo. These next couple of photos are from there. Here is a picture of the very 1st fuel injected turbocharged 4G63(aka4G63T). I also got to see the very 1st production 4G63, It was carburated. This fuel injected turbocharged 4G63, first debuted to the general public in the 82' Lancer and later appeared in the 84' starion to compete in the rally circuit, here is a picture of said rally car. This info I got from the musuem and may be specific only to the Japanese market so years of debut and models in the US may have been different. I have to admit I am unfamiliar with the US history when it comes to this.

Additionally, I think DSM'rs would like to know who had one of the very 1st fully "built/tuned" 4G63 Turbo powered motors. No other than the legendary Jackie Chan. See attached photo. His was commissioned to be completely built by HK$!
