hey friends this is what i have,
98gsx
95 ecu eprom (v3)
1g(6bolt)block
2g(7bolt)head
black top CAS
CAS plug
**all these parts have been tested**
Now i have read , but no ones resolution to their swap has fixed my issue.
so hear it is, i can get the car on after 10-20X of failing to get it started **have to adjust the CAS constantly to do so****** does NOT idle correctly and shuts down after some time, if i attemp to drive it if i dont give it steady throttle it will shut down on me too. now the CAS has been checked so has the ECU the engine is solid (checked) but, thers so many people who swear they know about this swap. that forums are clogged with info that can confuse you, (me). no i understand swicthing up the firring order. BUT if you have LINK, do you still need to rotate the injector order on the pins of the ecu,? or not? some forums says yes others say no. some say swicth the spark plug order, some say the coil pack order.others say get 1G coil pack.. some say swicth the injector plugs order on the fuel rail. ""i am assuming this is my problem"

i have also been told. when you do the swap, that it automaticly advances the timming thus the need for link,... i would really like to hear from some one who has sucessfully done the swap. But all help is greatlly appreciated.:banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead:

Dang man ya i feel your pain kinda. I remember when i bought my eclipse and it had a 6bolt swap, it started to have problems with the idle and throttle luckly driving around i met the guy who did the work on it and helped me out. He adjusted the CAS, cleaned up a lot of wires and sensors and next thing i know the car pulled really hard and clean i was happy, but then he moved and never saw him again :( i hope you can find someone to help you out. Both my 2G DSMs are getting work done by a shop in san antonio but i went with 7bolts thou, ya eh hated all the conversion stuff. well goodluck with yours keep us informed

hey i drew this up just toooo.. well i drew it ### that is how i learn LOL. see the STAR, well wich way should those lines be facing on the cam were it connect's to the CAS.. facing up and down? or left and right when you bolt it to the cas ?

and is that what 180 out means on the CAS ? they way i drew it, facing to the 1200. ?

also people have said, the cam lines have to be at the 3, and the 9. so i drew it too try and understand what people mean by that,

and that first piston has to be at the top flushed, ....

last thing, do after market cams not come with the threads too bolt on a CAS ? ### i had to tape in there, and make threads to be able too install the CAS. ill post up pics, this is just for me to try and undestand!
