Hey,
this is actually a long term question.

The thing is:
I got my car inspected and got the turbo swap legalized.
I'm from Germany so that wasn't very easy because the TÜV isn't someone who isn't willing to allow modficated cars to drive on the road.

Right now I'm running a Evo3 16G.
So in the official TÜV-report it says: "TD05H Evo3 Turbo" ... 250hp, 155mph topspeed.

The problem is: If you get pulled over by the cops the often check the report and compare it to the car.

Right a few days before I got the car tagged I realized that I may reached the limit of the turbo.
(running 31Psi peak falling to 23psi at 8000rpm , ported turbo, ported Evo3 manifold, 2.5" exhaust, E85, 850ccm injectors, 255lhp walbro, FP2 cams. Evo8 Ecu with custom tune, should produce 370+hp).

I want the get every little bit right in 2012... but what after that?
The power output is something the police can not check, but they will check if the housing says: TD05H.

So can you name the biggest turbo in a TD05H Housing?
A 20G?
FP 68HTA?

Or is the best way to mod a TD06H cover to wear a TD05H writing? ;)
And how streetable are these turbos? Its still a street car, running the dragslip just twice a year.

Thanks guys :)

They did sell 93 models here.
But they are not real 93 models.
They just took old models and mod them to meet new EU laws.

So they look very similar to 1GA
You must be logged in to view this image or video.

You can tell the difference when looking at the popup lights.
And they do have 7bolt engines.

That is why I cannot find a set of tails for 1gb...:banghead:

I found a set of 1ga, but not 1gb..Cause they didn't make any:ohdamn:

Austin can press in a new inlet pipe, mine has this bigger pipe. He also machines a nice lip, handy for BLT's. Look up the group "Turbo Lab" on Facebook (if you have it).

This is impossible in a factory, unmodded TD05H cover as the Green's compressor inducer is larger than the housing's inlet. Like I said earlier- you're limited to a 20G or 68HTA as the largest compressor to fit behind a TD05H cover.

A T04E-50 is only .052" bigger than a 20g, and .228 bigger than a 16g. It really won't fit?

So then they baddest turbo that would fit in tdo5h housings would be a 20g or 68hta mated to a td06h. hmm...

After you cut a 16G cover for a 20G wheel, the inlet bell is practically wafer-thin. Cut it another .052" and the weight of whatever intake pipe you're running will rip the inlet bell right off the housing.

Pretty much. I've built a Sleeper 16G for my FWD TSi which has a TD06H turbine. Was a $1000 turbo (new) in it's day. :thumb:
