Thank you for your help !!!!

Lol "Henco en MEXICO!!!!!!!" Does blue split loom tubing win car shows these days?

Personally I would have just shaved and polished the cover. It's heat proof, easy to maintain, and will last as long as the metal the VC is made of... which is just about forever.

I decided to fill a container with the thinner and water and scrub scrub dub. It work. Surprisingly. I've cleaned it off with simple green inside and out. I bought a dremel and some nice little things for it so I can to the fine touches of griding and polishing/cleaning and here's what I got so far guys :)

Right now I'm sanding it with 800 then ill use 2000. Before I throw on a thing layer of primer.

My question is why use primer when I have high heat engine enamel?

Looks good. The blue isn't as bad as I thought it was going to be in the engine bay.

There's best mini truck, best import, best lowrider, best hot rod, best muscle car, best overall, and the peoples choice. Most of the prizes are through raffle tickets. I'm trying to win the full apexi exahust system and full audio system setup installed.

Catagories just win throphies, so far A LOT of people are really liking my car over all I might have a shot at something :) but my hopes aren't up I'm just enjoying my first car show experiance and the valve cover really pulled everything together thanks you guys at dsmtuners

Well all the hard work didn't win my best import. BUT I did when this really expensive MAC tools black padded steel creeper, a waterless carwash sprayer set/kit, 2 free oil changes and a gift certificate for 500 dollars off an exhaust package at dj motorsports.

Holy hell... When did you get rid of those shitty stickers?

Its alright, Its normal for dsmtuners. Anyone have any ideas on something besides rubber gaskets that can be used for VCs I dont like the fact you can see the gasket if you look closely

Would you rather see oil when you look from far?

Cool story bro.

Anyone know of any other gaskets are allowable to remove that fraction of space between the valve cover and the head, or is that space necessary

Hey what happened to the sticker bomb on the front cover?

Dude... with all of that blue in the bay, do you really think anyone is even going to notice if you HAVE a valve cover...much less a 1/16" of gasket showing underneath it?

And...that is the saddest excuse for a Christmas tree I've ever seen. You should at least go grab some Micky D's happy meal toys to hang on it or something to keep that one lonely ornament company.

cool story bro

@ed Thank you for the advice! I'm trying to find more inventive ways to get replacement gaskets and parts and trying different things out maybe if I find or discover something it will help everyone else out.

@bogus I removed my stickers a long time ago

Take this as constructive criticism...

I would honestly take that blue wire loom off... your not fooling anybody and its just making the setup look cheap and "ghetto rigged"

Although the vc paint looks good

If you want to have a nice show car quality bay... look into powdercoating, or at least paint some parts for a much cleaner and professional look... not $5 wire loom ;)
